Meet Lexi! Those ears are cleared for takeoff as she heads into recovery after a cranial closing wedge osteotomy (CCWO), a procedure similar to a TPLO that can be a great option for our tiny-legged friends.

Lexi is a first-class patient, and we’re all ears for updates on her recovery over the next couple of months!

Today, we had the privilege of getting a personal tour of the new veterinary school at Clemson University Clemson Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine , and it did not disappoint!

The care, thought, and hard work poured into this campus were evident at every turn. South Carolina has so much to be proud of, and we’re excited to watch this school develop and shape the next generation of veterinarians.

These are just a few tiny snippets of the incredible facilities where future veterinarians will have the opportunity to learn and develop.

What an exciting time for veterinary medicine in South Carolina!

Another fabulous pet and pet parent! We love getting postoperative updates from our Jewel VS Rockstars. Hudson is doing great after his tibial fracture repair, and we couldn’t be happier to see him on the mend. Wishing him a continued smooth and successful recovery!

Sweet Delta has the cutest smile. Hopefully she’ll be smiling wide as she recovers from her TPLO (knee) surgery. Speedy Recovery sweet girl!

Remy had a very sizable, heavy mass that was causing her quite a bit of discomfort. Fortunately, this particular mass was benign, but the overlying skin was infected and ulcerated, making it uncomfortable for her to walk around and even lie down.

Removing the mass will give Remy a much better quality of life and a lot less heavy lifting to carry around!

Oh, Smooch is ALL healed and back to supervising with West Asheville Family Vet!

We love seeing him back to being healthy, happy, and, as always, totally Smoochable.

Just a reminder: Smooch previously needed surgery after eating way too much grass and developing a stomach obstruction. While he was under anesthesia, we also tacked his stomach to help prevent it from rotating and causing a life-threatening condition called GDV.

Now he’s 100% back to his happy self and providing his usual dose of therapy every time we pop in for surgery.

Molly Mae absolutely wins Best in Show for her hairdo, but not quite for her hips!

Today, while we admired that fabulous coif, we also tried to help those hips out with joint injections. Hopefully, they’ll improve her mobility, increase her comfort, and help relieve some of that hip pain.
