Wisdom Wednesday 🐾
Once your pup turns 7, their care needs start to shift, and staying ahead of those changes makes all the difference.

The AVMA recommends vet visits every 6 months for senior dogs, along with watching for subtle changes like decreased energy, changes in appetite, joint stiffness, increased thirst, or confusion. These can be early signs of completely manageable conditions that respond well when caught early.

We have a special place in our hearts for senior dogs here at Bay's Almost Home. Our experienced team provides the extra monitoring, gentle Fear Free handling, and comfort-focused accommodations that older pups need and deserve.

Sometimes our job goes beyond caring for the pups. ❤️

When one of our families is going through a difficult life event and can’t be home with their dog, we try to help however we can. Sometimes that means loading up and taking a little field trip so a pup can spend some much-needed time with their person. 🐾

We know how much comfort our dogs bring us—especially when life gets hard. If we can help keep that connection going while their family gets through it, we’re happy to do it.

We’re here to care for the pups, but we’re here for their people, too. ❤️
