Sometimes your pet needs their annual checkup.

Sometimes they wake up and decide, today is the day we're eating something we absolutely shouldn't.🤦‍♀️🐾

At Trinity Veterinary Hospital, we're here for both.

Cats are really good at two things:

Being adorable. 😻
And pretending absolutely nothing is wrong.

September is **Happy Healthy Cat Month**, and it's a great reminder that cats need preventive care too—even our indoor ones.

Regular wellness visits give us a chance to monitor:

🐱 Weight and body condition
🦷 Dental health
💉 Vaccines and preventive care
❤️ Heart and overall health
🍽️ Nutrition
🩺 Subtle changes that may be difficult to notice at home

Cats can be especially good at hiding signs of illness, which makes those routine checkups important.

And yes—we know getting some cats into the carrier deserves an award of its own. 😂

Here's to healthy cats, happy homes and many more years of purrs. 💚

What does it take to care for one patient?

Usually, more people than you see. 💚

While one team member may be talking with you, someone else may be preparing medications, running lab work, getting a treatment area ready, updating records, answering the phone or helping another patient.

And sometimes it takes a few of us working together to help a nervous patient feel safe and comfortable. 🐾

Veterinary medicine is very much a team sport.

From the front desk to the treatment area, every person plays a role in caring for the pets who walk through our doors.

We're proud of our little Trinity team and everything they do behind the scenes. 💙💚

Fall is coming…but unfortunately, seasonal allergies don't always leave with summer. 🍂🐶

For some pets, allergies show up as more than just scratching.

Keep an eye out for:

🐾 Licking or chewing paws
👂 Recurring ear problems
🔴 Red or irritated skin
🐶 Frequent scratching
👅 Excessive licking
🍂 Seasonal flare-ups that seem to return every year

If your pet spends the fall chewing their feet or keeping everyone awake scratching, don't assume you just have an exceptionally itchy dog. 😂

There may be ways we can help make them more comfortable.

Give Trinity Veterinary Hospital a call if you're noticing changes in your pet's skin or ears. 💚

“They're just getting older.”

We hear this a lot—and sometimes those little changes we associate with aging can actually be signs that a pet is uncomfortable.

September is **Animal Pain Awareness Month**, so it's a great time to pay a little extra attention to the subtle things.

Watch for changes like:

🐕 Slowing down or stiffness
🪜 Hesitating with stairs
🛋️ No longer jumping onto favorite spots
💤 Sleeping more
🎾 Less interest in playing
🍽️ Changes in appetite
❤️ Changes in mood or behavior

You know your pet better than anyone. If something seems different, tell us—even if it seems small. Those observations can give your veterinary team important clues.

Growing older may be inevitable. Being uncomfortable shouldn't automatically be accepted as part of it. ❤️

There are a lot of different personalities behind the scenes at Trinity Veterinary Hospital—and we wouldn't have it any other way. 💚🐾

Some of us are the talkers. Some are the calm ones. Some can find a vein on the first try. Some know exactly which snack will win over a nervous patient. And someone is probably looking for the pen they JUST had. 😂

Different roles. Different strengths. One team with the same goal: taking great care of our patients and the people who love them.

We are pretty proud of this crew. 💙💚

Pizza has definitely stolen a few hearts around here.

We’re so grateful when a family takes the time to share what their experience with our team has meant to them. Caring for pets is about so much more than medicine—it’s about supporting the people who love them, too.

Thank you, Daniel, for trusting Dr. Swan, Kristen, and our Trinity team with Pizza. We’re all rooting for this sweet girl!

🥜 A Little Peanut Butter Goes a Long Way! 🥜

At Trinity Veterinary Hospital, we believe vet visits should feel as positive as possible—and sometimes, that means a little extra peanut butter! 😋

From distraction during exams to rewarding brave pups, small treats can help reduce stress and create a happier experience for your pet.

Our team is always focused on making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—because a positive experience matters.

P.S. Always let us know about any food allergies or sensitivities!

Whether he’s on the floor with a patient, sharing a smile during a check-up, or giving extra love to a tiny kitten, it’s clear this isn’t just a job—it’s a calling.

Our clients say it best: kind, compassionate, and truly invested in every pet’s well-being. And we couldn’t agree more!
