Working Dogs Westmoreland is a professional dog training club designed to bring together dedicated handlers, working dogs, and professional trainers who share a passion for training, teamwork, and community.
Our mission is simple: provide education, support, real-world training opportunities, and camaraderie for dog handlers who want to take their training to the next level.
🐕 Four Specialized Teams
Members are placed into one of four divisions based on a temperament evaluation and their individual goals:
🔹 Service Dog Team
For handlers training service dogs for disability-related tasks and public access work.
🔹 Therapy Dog Team
For handlers interested in visiting nursing homes, hospitals, schools, libraries, and other community facilities.
🔹 Scent Detection Team
For dogs and handlers interested in scent work, tracking, trailing, and detection-based activities.
🔹 Advanced Obedience & AKC Team
For those looking to improve obedience skills, compete in AKC events, earn titles, and build stronger handler-dog relationships.
