Though the UKC National Premiere was not as fruitful as it had been last year we had some big wins and a new title. Weather was wack as usual with pop up storms, two days of tornado warnings and blistering heat.

Poor Wendy went into season and was knocked out of all the coursing. Ghost had a hot spot pop up and was knocked out of showing after the first day. We also weren’t there the entire cluster due to some other family responsibilities.

💜The Junior that was with us, Maddie, carried the whole team this weekend! She took her bully in Weight Pull and absolutely dominated both their pull days (Thur & Sat) winning their class AND going Most Weight Pulled Junior.

💛Robbie - Defended his 2025 Top Ten Breed placement as the # 1 Border Terrier by taking Best of Breed in the Top Ten Finals Breed Ring.
Earned a Q in Precision Coursing awarding him his RACEN title. Took Breed on Friday and made it to the last cut in groups.

❤️Ronnie - Best of Breed on Friday in a nice size line up of Mini Bulls

Happy 1st birthday to the silliest puppy girl I have ever owned.

So far in her first year of life she already has a good load of rats under her belt, both city hunting and farm hunting. She’s been in groundhog tunnels/dens & exposed to raccoons. She took a couple Best Puppy In Show placements, one in UKC and one in AKC. She’s placed over grands and specials in AKC and managed a couple of group placements in UKC.
She’s shaping up to be a good worker and a nice show girl. Shes a dream of a pet too, so good with the kids and she just loves everyone.

✨UKC NATIONAL PREMIERE✨

We will have not one, not two, but THREE Top Ten UKC dogs with us competing in Thursday’s special show.

In our usual feral fashion we will have a slew of personal dogs with us along with *all* of the children. As a bonus for this year we’re bringing out the big guns with two red bearded mountain men to help keep the misadventures of Amanda & Danielle from flying off the rails.

Last year, through the Border Terrier Club of America, Robbie earned his Feild Sporting Certificate. As well as a certificate that had not been awarded in 24 years, the Feild Game Certificate. This made him the first Border Terrier to hold both BTCA hunting certificates.
I am very excited to announce I’ve received word from the club that Robbie has officially earned his Working Certificate through the Border Terrier Club of America!

Robbie is now the very first Border Terrier to hold all three Certificates since the program’s inception in 2001. To say I’m proud is an understatement.

A heartfelt thank to you to Lou Ann & Joan of Steel Ridge for entrusting me with such a wonderful dog.

Since his AKC show career is coming to a close I had to make sure to buy the photos for my mems. He’s one Best Of Breed Owner Handled win (5 points) away from retirement (NOHS Silver).

Ronnie really kicked it up a notch today. He said it was payment back for ripping Danielle’s french drains out at home 😆

It was a very long day but it was a great day! We won’t be back to the cluster until Robbie & Wendy show on Sunday. Sunday will be the last show that Robbie and Wendy are in the ring together until Wendy finishes as she’s starting to go over him and I don’t want to point her off of one dog. Little Miss Wendy is competitive, I need to do right by her, and let her compete against a variety of Border Terriers to prove herself.
