Sweet little Persimmon the hognose snake recently came to see the team at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital after developing an abscess that needed medical attention. 🐍💚

Thanks to the compassionate care of Dr. Daniel and her dedicated medical team, Persimmon received the treatment she needed and is now feeling SO much better! From her exam and treatment plan to recovery and healing, this brave girl was surrounded by a team that truly cares about every creature — no matter how tiny. ✨

Reptiles are experts at hiding illness, which is why routine exams and early intervention are so important. If you notice swelling, changes in appetite, unusual behavior, or anything out of the ordinary with your exotic pet, don’t wait to have them evaluated.

We are so proud of Persimmon and thankful we could help her on the road to recovery! 🐍💕

Sweet little Oregano the baby goose waddled into our hospital not feeling his best after suffering a severe wing injury. After a full examination and diagnostics with Dr. Daniel, it was determined that a wing amputation would give him the best chance at a happy, comfortable life moving forward. 💚🪿

While surgery is always a big moment, Oregano was surrounded every step of the way by a medical team that loved him like one of their own. From his first snuggles with our team to his surgery day cuddles, this brave little goose showed us just how strong he truly is.

The best part? Recovery. ✨

When Oregano woke up from surgery, he was comfortable, bright, alert, and already feeling so much better. Watching him rest peacefully, begin eating again, and start acting more like the happy baby goose he was meant to be reminded us why we do what we do every single day.

Animals are incredibly resilient, and with compassionate medical care, they can adapt beautifully after life-changing procedures. We are so proud of Oregano and honored to have been part of his journey to healing.

Please send this sweet boy lots of love as he continues recovering! 💛

🐰☀️ Hi friends, Loaf here!

One of my FAVORITE things is hopping around outside, feeling the sunshine on my fur, nibbling fresh greens, and exploring safely with my humans watching closely. 🌿💛 But being an outdoor adventurer comes with important responsibilities for rabbits like me!

Did you know there’s a very dangerous virus called Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDV2)? 😢 This disease is highly contagious and can spread through wild and domesticated rabbits, insects, contaminated grass, shoes, clothing, food, and even things brought inside the home. Sadly, it can become deadly very quickly — even for indoor pet rabbits who never go outside.

That’s why my veterinary team at All Creatures strongly recommends the RHDV2 vaccine to help keep bunnies like me protected while we enjoy happy, enriched lives. 🩺🐇 Prevention is one of the best ways to keep us safe!

Outdoor time can be AMAZING for rabbits when done carefully:
🌱 Always supervise us
🌱 Use secure, predator-safe areas
🌱 Avoid unknown wild rabbit exposure
🌱 Stay up to date on wellness exams & vaccines

Because every bunny deserves many more sunny adventures ahead. ☀️🐰💚

Ever wonder what a turtle’s bloodwork can tell us? 🐢💉
At All Creatures, we’re committed to raising the standard of care for all species—reptiles included. Drawing blood on turtles may look a little different than dogs or cats, but it gives us incredibly valuable insight into their health that we simply can’t get from a physical exam alone.

✨ Why might your turtle need bloodwork?
• Checking organ function (liver & kidneys)
• Detecting infections or inflammation
• Evaluating hydration status
• Monitoring nutritional imbalances (like calcium levels)
• Investigating lethargy, appetite changes, or shell issues
• Establishing a healthy baseline for your pet

Reptiles are experts at hiding illness, which means by the time symptoms show, they may already be very sick. That’s why yearly exams are so important—even for turtles and other reptiles. Preventative care allows us to catch small issues before they become big problems.

Our goal is simple: provide thoughtful, thorough, and fear-free care for every creature—no matter how small, scaled, or shelled. 💚

📅 If it’s been a while since your turtle’s last check-up, let’s change that!

☀️🕊️ Meet Cookie — our sunshine-loving little feathered friend!
If there’s one thing Cookie loves (besides a good snack), it’s a trip to the vet! From cheerful chirps in the exam room to soaking up all the attention from his favorite veterinary team, he makes every visit feel like a special occasion. 💛

But Cookie’s happiest moments? Those are spent outside (his wings are clipped and he is always with his pet parents), basking in the warm, golden sunshine. With the breeze ruffling her feathers and the world buzzing around him, he reminds us how beautiful the simple things can be.

Whether he’s visiting her favorite people or enjoying a peaceful day under the sky, Cookie is living his best little bird life — one sunny moment at a time!

Meet the newest (and furriest) member of the cleaning crew Pancake🍽️

While most cats are busy knocking things off counters, this overachiever is putting things in the dishwasher. From carefully supervising plate placement to batting utensils into their “proper” spots (we’ll call it artistic organization), this little helper takes their job very seriously.

Sure, it might take twice as long… and yes, you may find a random toy mouse on the top rack… but the dedication? Unmatched. The enthusiasm? Impeccable. The judgmental stare if you load it “wrong”? Absolutely guaranteed.

Who needs chore charts when you’ve got a four-legged supervisor making sure everything is up to purr-fection? 😼✨

Tongue Out Tuesday with Raven 🐾👅

Hi friends, Raven here! 🖤
You know what day it is… my favorite day of the week —

Not only do I get to show off my best tongue-out pose (I’ve been practicing, obviously 😏), but I also get to visit my favorite humans ever at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital. And let me tell you… they are THE BEST.

From the moment I walk in, my tail starts wagging like crazy. They give the best pets, sneak in extra cuddles, and somehow always know exactly how to make me feel like the goodest girl (because I am, duh).

Whether I’m there for a check-up or just stopping by to say hi, I always leave with a happy heart… and maybe a treat or two 😉

Drop your pet’s best tongue-out pic below! 👇🐶👅

Ever wonder why rabbits sometimes need tooth extractions? 🐰🦷

Rabbits have continuously growing teeth, which means their dental health needs constant attention. When their teeth don’t wear down properly—due to genetics, diet, or alignment issues—they can develop painful problems like overgrown teeth, abscesses, or infections.

Sometimes, the kindest and most effective treatment is a tooth extraction. While that may sound scary, it can be life-changing for your bunny—relieving pain, restoring appetite, and helping them get back to their happy, bouncy selves 💚

Signs your rabbit may be having dental trouble:
• Decreased appetite or picky eating
• Drooling or wet chin
• Weight loss
• Swelling around the face or jaw
• Changes in behavior

Routine check-ups and a proper diet (hello, hay!) are key to prevention—but when extractions are needed, we’re here to provide gentle, compassionate care every step of the way.

Because every bunny deserves a pain-free life 🐇✨
