๐ŸŽ‰ Join us in wishing Cassie a very happy birthday today! ๐ŸŽ‰

Cassie is our amazing Practice Manager who helps keep the hospital running smoothly and the rest of us on track. Whether itโ€™s solving problems, keeping things organized, or making sure everything gets done, sheโ€™s always there to help keep the wheels turning.

When sheโ€™s not at work, Cassie enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, traveling, and hitting the gym. Weโ€™re pretty sure sheโ€™s made of equal parts determination and muscle! ๐Ÿ’ช

We are so grateful for everything she does for our team and our patients. We hope your day is filled with lots of laughs, cake, and time to celebrate!

Help us wish Cassie a very happy birthday in the comments below! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฅณ

: Hematochezia
Hematochezia is the passage of fresh red blood in or with the stool. The bright color of the blood indicates it has originated in the lower gastrointestinal tract (colon, re**um, or a**s).
While sometimes an indication of a serious life-threatening issue, it is commonly a more mild issue.
The most common cause of hematochezia in pets is colitis which is inflammation or irritation of the colon. Colitis can be caused by a sudden diet change, stress, or parasites, to name a few. Colitis is pretty common with pets that are prone to anxiety or stress during boarding, thunderstorms, travel or other stressful events.
More serious causes of hematochezia can be infectious diseases such as canine parvovirus, clotting disorders, or tumors in the lower bowel.
If you notice hematochezia (bright red blood) in your pet's stool, contact your veterinarian for guidance!
