Surgery update on Lyla Ray... 09.10.26
Surgery went well. The infection was worse than expected. Her uterus was very inflamed, swollen and had thickened walls.
She is currently resting in her crate. Very groggy. She hasn't eaten as of yet. She wanted to rest, so she's resting.

She is on extremely limited activity for the next 2 weeks.

She also has a follow up on 9.24.26.

Butte is having separation difficulties from his mama. He doesn't understand why he can't snuggle and aggravate her.

Update on Lyla Ray....
We had her follow up appt this afternoon. The good news is that her White Cell Count has dropped. But he bad news that the xrays are showing that her uterus is still extremely swollen and inflamed.

She has been eating really well, drinking lots of water. She has also been nesting like crazy. She trys to find the smallest spots she can and tries to coax Bubba into join her. She has been extra snuggly with Bubba ,myself and Jeff.

We have another appt on Thursday for more xrays. Hoping and praying that the inflammation and swelling reduces.

She is on the schedule to be spayed Thursday. Not taking a chance on waiting and putting her life in any more danger than she has already been in. Still praying her body and the meds takes care of the infection. But we are being as proactive and a step ahead as we can be.

Pyometra seems to be the culprit.

Prayers for our girl are greatly appreciated.

With a very heavy heart I need to update everyone on Lyla Ray and Opie Winston's Litter due 9.19.26.
Unfortunately, Lyla Ray has miscarried. It has been and exhausting and emotional 24+ hours.

Lyla Ray is currently resting.

The next few days and weeks we will be closely watching her temperature, white cell count, behavior and overall heath, etc. She was prescribed antibiotics to help resist infection. She has a followup appointment on Tuesday the 8th to recheck her white cell count.

For everyone that has inquired about a puppy from this litter, I sincerely apologize for this terrible news. But, THANKFULLY for now my baby girl, Lyla Ray, is still with us and is being showered with love and prayers.

Everything happens for a reason, right! This was God's plan.

This litter is being lovingly raised in our home with the care, attention, and early socialization that every Circle P Boxer puppy receives. We are looking forward to healthy, well-rounded puppies with wonderful temperaments and exceptional European bloodlines.

Baby Butte Montana aka BUBBA, is home and resting.
Two antibiotics, 1 calming med and 1 med for inflammation. Restricted activity for 2 weeks. No jumping, running, climbing, or over stimulated activity. 🙄🤔😬 Wet food for the foreseeable future. Flush sinus after ever meal and keeping incisions clean and dry. Sutures come out on 8/14.

Should be an interesting few weeks.
