🐾💙 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK — TEAM SPOTLIGHT: AMBER!💙🐾

Next up is Amber, one of our amazing Veterinary Assistants!🐶🩺

One of the things we appreciate most about Amber is that she is 🌟always ready to jump in and help wherever she’s needed.🌟 And at MWVS, that can mean a little bit of everything!

You’ll find Amber helping with appointments, taking X-rays, running bloodwork, preparing patients for surgery, assisting the medical team, and making sure our patients get plenty of care and attention along the way. Basically… she does it all! 💪🐾

Her willingness to learn, work hard, and step in wherever needed makes her an incredibly valuable part of our team. And that big smile in the picture? That pretty much sums up the energy she brings to work! 💙

💙Thank you, Amber, for everything you do for our patients and your teammates — and for always being willing to lend a hand. We appreciate you so much!🧡

🦆🚨 THE GREAT MWVS DUCK HUNT IS ON! 🚨🦆

There’s been a bit of a… **duck infestation** at Midwest Veterinary Specialists this Staff Appreciation Week. 😂

Tiny ducks have been hiding ALL OVER the hospital, and our team has been on the hunt! 👀🔎

Some were easy to spot. 👀
Some were VERY sneaky. 👻
And some may have caused otherwise reasonable veterinary professionals to become just a *little* competitive. 🦆🏃‍♀️💨

The mission: Find them. Complete their challenges. Earn points. Claim eternal glory.

But beware...

Not all ducks are created equal.

🐥 Some are ordinary ducks.
⭐ Some are worth BIG points.
🧠 Some will test your veterinary & CSR knowledge.
🎯 Some will make you complete a challenge.
💣 Some may help you...or completely ruin your day.

And somewhere in the hospital lurks the legendary...

👑 GRAND QUACKER 👑

The person with the most points claims the coveted Duck Hunt medal!🏅🏆

It’s all part of our Staff Appreciation Week fun as we celebrate the incredible people who keep MWVS running every day. The competition has been HOT 🔥 this week and our final day is tomorrow - stay tuned for the results! ❤️🐾

May the best duck hunter win! 🦆🏆

🐾💙 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK — TEAM SPOTLIGHT: KATE!! 💙🐾

Next up is ✨🐶 Kate, our awesome Kennel Assistant!✨🐶

There is A LOT that goes into keeping a specialty veterinary hospital clean, organized, and ready for whatever the day brings — and Kate plays an important role in making that happen!

With her 💞reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things right💞, Kate helps us maintain the high standards of cleanliness and orderliness that are so important to both patient care and hospital safety. 💙

Even more impressive? She does it all while being a full-time college student! 🎓👏

The work that happens behind the scenes may not always be the most visible, but it is absolutely essential to everything we do. We appreciate being able to count on Kate to help keep MWVS looking great and running smoothly!

🧡💚Thank you, Kate, for your hard work, dependability, and attention to all the little details that make a BIG difference. We love having you on our team!💙

🐾💙 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK — TEAM SPOTLIGHT: CHERIE! 💙🐾

We’re shining the spotlight on 🌟Cherie, LMT, CCMT🌟, our wonderful Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Canine Massage Therapist! ✋🐶❤️

Cherie brings a unique set of ✋ skills to the MWVS team, using therapeutic massage to help our patients relax, move more comfortably, recover, and simply feel better. 🌈Whether she’s working with a sporting dog🥏, a rehabilitation patient, helping relieve sore or tight muscles, or giving a pet some much-deserved one-on-one TLC, Cherie brings a calm, compassionate touch to every session. 💆‍♀️🐾

Massage can be a fantastic complement to a pet’s rehabilitation or wellness plan, helping support mobility, flexibility, circulation, relaxation, and recovery.💞 And despite the “canine” in her certification, our feline friends are welcome too! 🐱💕

We love being able to offer so many different tools to help our patients live their happiest, most comfortable lives — and we’re so happy to have Cherie as part of that team. Pet massages are available on Mondays!🐈🐩

🧡💚Thank you, Cherie, for sharing your talents with our patients and for helping us provide truly whole-patient care! 💙

🐾💙 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK — MEET MAKAYLA! 💙🐾

Next up in our Team Midwest spotlight is 🏆Makayla, one of our Veterinary Assistants — and apparently an elite veterinary athlete!** 😂

That trophy she’s holding? Makayla was crowned the 🏆inaugural MWVS Vet Tech Olympics Champion🏆 after battling her way through six fierce events during this year’s Staff Appreciation Week! 🥇💪 We’re pretty sure the title comes with bragging rights for at least the next 12 months.🐾

But Makayla brings that same enthusiasm and determination to her work every day. Since joining MWVS, she has developed a real passion for specialty surgical medicine and has jumped right in to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.

She has already learned SO much — but just as importantly, she has🐾contributed so much🐾 to our team along the way. Her enthusiasm for veterinary medicine, willingness to learn, and excitement about caring for our patients make her a wonderful part of Team Midwest.

We love watching young veterinary professionals discover what excites them, build their skills, and grow in confidence, and we can’t wait to see where Makayla’s future takes her! 💙

🐱Thank you, Makayla, for your hard work, enthusiasm, and everything you bring to MWVS — and congratulations again to our reigning Vet Tech Olympics Champion!** 🐶

🐾💙 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK — MEET CHLOE! 💙🐾

Next up in our Team Midwest spotlight is 🎉Chloe, CVT! 🎉

Chloe has been part of the MWVS family for almost two years, and we have loved watching her grow in both her skills and confidence during that time! 💪🐾

As a Certified Veterinary Technician, Chloe wears LOTS of hats. She assists with appointments, monitors anesthesia, provides excellent patient care, helps coach newer team members, and keeps things moving smoothly throughout the hospital.

But one of the things we appreciate most about Chloe is her willingness to ❤️jump in wherever she is needed!❤️ Need an extra hand in rehab? She’s there. CSR needs help? She’ll jump in. After-hours patient care? Count her in. Chloe truly understands that great veterinary medicine takes a team — and she is always ready to be part of the solution.❤️

Her flexibility, dedication, and willingness to keep learning have made her such an important part of Team Midwest.

❤️Thank you, Chloe, for everything you do for our patients, clients, and your teammates. We appreciate you!💙🐾

🐾💙 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK — MEET NIKKI! 💙🐾

If there’s a patient at Midwest who needs a little extra love, there’s a pretty good chance ❤️Nikki is nearby! ❤️🐶

Nikki is one of our daytime Patient Care Veterinary Assistants, and she brings an incredible amount of enthusiasm, compassion, and positive energy to our hospital every day. She genuinely LOVES our patients — and they know it! 🥰

Throughout the day, Nikki helps care for our hospitalized and post-op patients by giving medications, performing rehabilitation exercises and treatments, monitoring their comfort, and, of course, providing ❤️LOTS of TLC.❤️🐾

She also loves connecting with our pet parents — whether she’s greeting them in the morning, giving an update, or helping reunite them with their pet at afternoon check-out. We know leaving your pet with us for the day can be stressful, and Nikki helps make that experience a little warmer and easier.

💙Nikki’s enthusiasm is contagious, her heart for our patients is huge, and we are so grateful to have her on Team Midwest! 💚

**Thank you, Nikki, for loving our patients like they’re your own and for helping us provide exceptional care every single day!** 🐾
