Our two copilots this weekend. One’s blind, so he’s an honorary copilot, haha. The other one is our foster boy Goober, he’s a 90 pound pitty/mastiff mix and will be available for adoption soon. He’s the goodest boy. Loves dogs and people. Let us know if your in the market for a smushy face like his. He really is incredible. We can’t say enough good things about him.

There’s something about turning off the generators and the lights in the trailer at the end of a trip that makes me feel some type of way.

Even after doing this every other week like clockwork for almost 15 years, I still can’t put into words the anxiety and stress we carry until the last precious soul is safely off that trailer.

Every trip, after the final dog or cat is unloaded, Jason hugs me and says, “Baby, we did it again.”

It’s never lost on me just how many prayers surround us every single mile of the journey. Then, after we finally breathe that sigh of relief, comes the best shower, food, and sleep you could ever imagine. 😂

To everyone who picked up a new family member today: thank you for choosing adoption. You have made all the difference in the world to that little dog or cat.
