Great shoutout to Shady Creek Ranch and the Gilley’s !!!! We love the way they go about their business with top tier cattle and horses (and their son Grady’s chickens!)

While the Vols football team prepares to welcome Texas inside Neyland Stadium on Sept. 26, there's a field just up the road in Greene County where a group of longhorns always plays.

At Shady Creek Ranch, the Gilley family makes a living raising and showing Texas longhorn cattle. They have their own taste of the Lone Star State on their property in the shadow of the Smoky Mountains.

Although his breed of cattle bears a burnt orange name, owner Greg Gilley believes this herd's bovine blood runs the right shade of orange.

"I love Texas longhorn cows, but when it comes to football, it's 'go Vols,' so everything is out the window," Gilley said.
