If you are having trouble finding a technician in our hospital, check the patients! We caught this photo of Heather comforting our sweet guest a few months ago, but it's not an uncommon occurence! These talented individuals not only use their practical skills, but also their compassion every single day to help your pets heal!

Porcupines are active this time of year! 👀

These prickly beasties are not looking to cause trouble, so keep your pet safe from quills by making sure they are leashed when outdoors and monitored at all times. If your pet does become quilled, do not attempt to remove them yourself! Not only are they barbed and painful to remove, they can break off, causing them to migrate deeper into the skin and cause further trauma. If your pet has tried to befriend nature's pin cushion, contact your veterinarian to discuss the proper steps for removal.
