Everyone meet Sosa, here is her amazing story!
She is 1 of 2,100 beagles rescued from Ridglan Farms in Blue Mounds, WI. This was a beagle breading facility that bread beagles and provided them to large scale corporations for animal testing. Sosa is a 6 year old female who has never been outside since she was born, she has only known a life of cages and scientific testing.

On May 2, 2026 1500 beagle were rescued initially in part by major efforts of Big Dog Rach Rescue and Beagle Freedom Project. Since that time the remaining 600 beagles have been released and Ridglan Farms will be permanently closed.

All the beagles have been placed for adoption across WI, MI, and various states. Many people have stepped up and fostered many of the beagles until they could be placed in their forever homes.

After 5 weeks and efforts of Pilots to the rescue Sosa and a few other beagles were flown from Big Dog Ranch rescue in WI to NYC Second Chance Rescue. Applications were reviewed and The Zimmerman Family was chosen for Sosa. After volunteer efforts were made and a 4 hr road trip Sosa is now part of their family where she will spend the rest of her life getting to be a beagle. She is so loved and is the sweetest, they feel very blessed to have her.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Anderson Family & Hagerstown Police Department today for their loss of K9 Officer Amigo. Amigo served his community proudly and participated in over 900 events before his retirement a few years ago.
