Hi Angels,

Just a sweet little update from the Aussie crew. ❤️

The puppies are becoming braver every day and are now coming up to eat with Heather, which is a huge step forward. They’re beginning to learn that people can be kind, patient, and worth trusting.

The next challenge is helping them feel comfortable approaching strangers too, but for now we’re celebrating every little victory.

Mama Whispa and her babies continue to move forward at their own pace, and we’re very proud of them. 😊

Hi Angels,

Travis is holding his own today. ❤️

As expected, he’s pretty uncomfortable, but he’s doing his best to put on a brave face for everyone. Heather and I worked on creating a little “sun porch” area for him so he can still hang out on the deck and be near his buddies while he recovers.

The rain kept interrupting our plans today, so deck time was a bit limited, but we also built him a separate potty pen so he can go outside safely off leash. Hopefully by the end of the weekend, he’ll settle into the routine and recovery won’t feel quite so overwhelming for him.

This picture was taken before we finished setting everything up. He now has water, extra comfy bedding, and brand-new stuffies to admire dramatically from within his cone. 😄❤️

We’ll do a live stream update on rescue activities tomorrow sometime around 4:00.

Travis wanted everyone to know he made it through his knee surgery like a champ. ❤️

Judging by this picture from his vet visit, you’d never know he was having orthopedic issues. 😂 That smile says, “Best field trip EVER!”

The vet confirmed he did need surgery, and while his grin is a little smaller right now, I keep reminding him this is only temporary. In another month or so, he should be feeling so much better and ready to get back to doing important Travis things… like proudly presenting random “gifts” and being ridiculously handsome. 😊

Please keep sweet Travis in your thoughts as he heals. He’s doing well and getting lots of love and reassurance. ❤️

Hi Angels,

Thought you would enjoy a few happy moments from the rescue to brighten your day.😊

Buck was out enjoying a walk around the property… Heather Becker had a total squirrel moment over a frog. 😂 Libby made sure Heather survived another exhausting shift by demanding some floor snuggles. Fletcher and Koda are showing off their sweet friendship and proving how much a happy buddy can help a worried heart. And of course… the Aussie crew — Candy, Buttons, Trip, Waldo, Willa, Wyndi and Whispa — are getting more comfortable, playful, and relaxed every single day. ❤️

And finally, Selma stepped in as emotional support supervisor for poor overworked Heather Becker. 😂❤️

Hi Angels,

While spending the day hanging out in the basement with the dogs because of thunderstorms, I found myself dreaming about the other day when we took Tug for a ride in the side-by-side. ❤️ I made this video so you can enjoy that day too.

Wind in his face, ears flapping, eyes locked on every rabbit, bird and cow, like it was the greatest adventure ever created. 😂

I swear Tug thinks the side-by-side was invented specifically for him.
