Meet Kobe.
Located in Green Bay but I will drive him wherever for the right family.
PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BEFORE REACHING OUT.
He has been with me temporarily since August after his owner unexpectedly passed away. The late owners family is highly allergic so they were unable to take him in. The humane society is not an option as they worry he will go into the wrong hands.
He did find a new home but unfortunately that was short lived as he ended up having too severe anxiety when they went to work.
He is 8 years old, will be 9 in November.
He needs a family that is home a majority of the time or that will bring him to doggy day care. Preferably a daycare that allows him to free roam the whole day instead of being kenneled. He has become very destructive when left alone and doesn't do well kenneled. He has broken out of 3 kennels/crates. The indestructible kennel that he couldn't get out of, made his anxiety so bad that it wasn't safe for him to continue using it.
He knows how to open doors, so if he is left home alone, it is important that doors are secured and locked as he has gotten out of the house a few times. BUT if he can't turn the door k**b easily to get out, he will chew on the door k**bs until they are destroyed.
He does have allergies that result in him having itchy skin. It's usually manageable with anti itch spray/shampoo and Benadryl.
No known health issues other than anxiety and allergies. No hip or joint issues. Mobility is fantastic and he can still play and run like a puppy.
He matches your energy. If you want to be lazy all day, he'll lay around all day with you. If you are active, he'll join. If you're out in the yard doing yard work, he'll be right along side you, most likely napping in the dirt or grass.
He is amazing with babies and kids of all ages, even very high energy, spirited kids. He is incredibly patient and unphased by kids with unpredictable movements so you can rest assured that there are no concerns regarding safety with kids.
He is great with cats and dogs. He LOVES having another dog to play with and chase.
He really is such a good dog, as long as he's with someone and not left alone. He listens pretty well. Comes to you when he's called, stays by your side, has a self feeding dog bowl and he's great at self control when eating.
Walking on a leash is iffy. He does pull but does okay if you have a anti-pull collar.
He LOVES car rides. If you want a companion to join you running errands or road trips, he would be the perfect companion. When the weather permits, he loves hanging out in the car while you run errands.
I HAVE ALREADY REACHED OUT TO RESCUES ALL OVER WISCONSIN. I have even reached out to out of state rescues so please do not recommend rescues as I can assure you, if they have contact information online, I have probably reached out to them numerous times already over the last several months. They are all overwhelmed with the amount of pets needing to be rehomed so they are not taking in any more.
