Sir Fluffington is an outgoing, affectionate kitten who absolutely loves people! He’s the kind of little guy who wants to be wherever you are and will happily follow you around like your tiny, fluffy shadow.

He has all the typical kitten energy and loves to play with just about anything he can find. He’s even been spotted trying to play with the younger foster kittens through the kennel, so we think he would absolutely love having a feline playmate in his forever home.

With his playful personality, love of people, and adorable fluffy face, Sir Fluffington is pretty much too adorable for words! He should fit in wonderfully in just about any home looking for a fun, social, and affectionate kitten.

Meet Ingrid!! 🖤💛

This sweet, gentle 1-year-old would love nothing more than to find a family of her own. She has a wonderfully mellow personality and is the kind of cat who makes herself right at home wherever she goes.

Ingrid has been very patient and affectionate with her foster family’s 5- and 2-year-old granddaughters. She happily approaches them for pets and enjoys their attention, showing just how gentle and tolerant she can be with little ones. She has also had limited contact with the resident dogs and has shown some mild curiosity about them.

Ingrid gets along wonderfully with the other cats in her foster room and is comfortable sharing her space with feline friends. She also loves her people! She greets her foster family at the door, follows them around the room, and asks for attention by rubbing against their legs or giving sweet little head bumps. The moment she receives affection, her purr motor starts up!

When she isn't soaking up attention, Ingrid is perfectly happy entertaining herself. She enjoys the track ball tower, interactive play with wand toys, and spending peaceful moments watching the world go by from a window. She is also an easygoing girl who will patiently sit on a lap and cooperates well with nail trims and other necessary handling.

Ingrid is affectionate, gentle, easygoing, and simply a joy to have around. She would make a wonderful addition to just about any loving home.

Meet Nilla!! 💙

This 5-month-old Carolina Dog/Hound is the kind of pup who makes friends with everyone he meets! He loves EVERYONE equally, no favorites here! He greets each person like they’re already his best friend and is always ready to offer cuddles, kisses, and plenty of puppy fun.

Nilla is doing great with potty training and is settling into a consistent routine beautifully. He keeps his crate clean overnight and settles into his crate very nicely. He already knows “sit” and is extremely food motivated, which should make training a breeze. He’s still a playful puppy, so he’ll need a family willing to continue working with him, but he is off to a fantastic start!

Nilla walks well on a leash, although he does like to stop frequently for important sniffing business. He enjoys playing with squeaky toys and is learning the art of fetch. He’s working on bringing the toy back and is making great progress!

Nilla has done wonderfully with kids, including children ages 5 and 9. He is gentle when playing and gets especially excited for his morning kisses. He has also shown that he does well with other dogs.

As for cats, Nilla is very interested in them, so he would likely do best in a cat-free home where he doesn’t have to resist the temptation to investigate his feline friends.

Loving, playful, snuggly, sweet, and fun, Nilla is ready to find his forever family. If you’re looking for a happy-go-lucky puppy who will greet you like you’re his favorite person every single day, Nilla might just be your guy! 🐶💕

Meet Wilkie! This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful, curious, and affectionate!

Wilkie loves to explore her surroundings, discover new toys, and keep herself entertained. Her absolute favorite? Crinkle balls! Give her one and she’ll happily bat it around and chase it to her heart’s content.

Once playtime is over, this 4-month-old is ready to switch gears and soak up some love. She is incredibly affectionate and loves being wherever her people are. If you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance Wilkie will be nearby hoping for some pets and cuddles.

She also does well with other cats, so she could make a wonderful companion for a family looking to add another feline friend.

Meet Peach!! 🍑

Peach is a sweet, curious girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime! If there’s something new to investigate, a toy to bat around, or a little corner she hasn’t explored yet, you can bet Peach is going to check it out. Closets? Garbage cans? New hiding spots? Nothing escapes her curiosity!

This active 4-month-old girl can turn just about anything into a toy and loves keeping herself busy. She especially enjoys having other cats around to interact with and has done wonderfully with her brother and the three other cats in her foster home. She also coexists peacefully with the resident English Bulldog.

Peach has done well with her 10-year-old human foster brother, too. She isn't a huge fan of being picked up, so she does best with children who understand that she has boundaries and are gentle and respectful of her preferences. She's a very nice girl who simply likes to do things on her own terms.

While Peach isn't typically a lap cat, she does occasionally decide that snuggling with her humans sounds pretty nice. Those moments may be rare, but when Peach chooses your lap, you know you've been selected!

Because she loves having feline friends and enjoys staying busy, Peach would likely do best in a home with another cat. She could potentially be happy as a solo kitty, too, as long as her humans are ready to keep her entertained with plenty of playtime, toys, and opportunities to explore.

Meet Lucille!

Lucille is a sweet, smart 1-year-old Terrier-Mix with the cutest smile and a heart full of love. She absolutely loves being around her people and is always happy to soak up attention. She also loves toys and treats, so there are plenty of ways to win her over!

Lucille already knows how to sit, listens well, and is eager to please. She’s a smart girl who wants to do the right thing and will thrive with a family that continues to give her structure, consistency, and lots of encouragement.

Her previous foster also noted that she may be protective of her food, so her family should be mindful of this and give her space around meals; feeding in her kennel is a great option.

Lucille gets along with other dogs and would love to find a family who will give her the love, attention, and spoiled-dog life she deserves. She’s ready to find her people and start her next chapter!

ABOUT "LAST" NIGHT
🎉 A 10-Year Anniversary Edition 🎉

If you're familiar with our story, you may recall HEA was founded 20 years ago (2006), but there's a special 10-year anniversary we're celebrating this year as well!

The date was August 30, 2016. Approximately 300 people gathered in HEA's parking lot to celebrate the grand opening of our Fox Heights Lane location in Green Bay, WI.

So here we are, 10 years later. What started as an adoption center has grown into so much more:

❤️ 6,121 adoptions.

❤️ Hundreds of thousands of hours volunteered by community members.

❤️ A low-cost spay/neuter program that has become deeply respected in our community.

❤️ A growing number of foster families opening their homes.

❤️ Events that bring people together.

❤️ Celebrating moments of joy and embracing grief.

❤️ Thousands of conversations that have helped people better understand how they can care for and support companion animals.

❤️ And, for the past nine months, Core Care Clinics, bringing essential veterinary care to pet-loving families in our community.

And all of this has been possible because of people. We talk about it often: people are the solution to the complex problems facing companion animals.

Volunteers. Foster families. Adopters. Donors. Staff. Community partners. Every person who has walked through our doors, shared our posts, told a friend about HEA, or simply decided that caring about dogs and cats was something worth being part of.

Ten years ago, this building became our home, and you've made it so much more than a building. Because of you, HEA is what happens when people come together with a passion to increase humanity's capacity to care for its companion animals.
