The hardest and best part of fostering is letting go.

Today, Peony officially became Piper and started her new life with a wonderful family. She now has a furry brother and sister, plenty of love, and a place to call home forever.

Thank you to everyone who followed her journey and cheered her on. My Journey and I will miss this sweet girl, but our hearts are full knowing she has found her happily ever after.

A special thank you to Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue for entrusting this lovable, adorable, sweet puppy to my temporary care. And thank you to Cindy and Mark for believing in second chances and opening your hearts and home to a rescue dog.

A little sunshine, a little time at my son’s hobby farm, and a whole lot of snuggles. Peony is happiest when she’s with her people. Whether she’s soaking up attention from kids or relaxing in the shade, she’s a sweet, gentle girl who just wants to be part of the family.

She doesn’t just play with them—she collects them, carries them around, and gathers them into her own little pile before settling down for a nap, with her treasure’s surrounding her.

• Not destructive
• Loves toys but doesn’t destroy them
