Here’s a great article about vaccines from CSU!

Your vet may be talking about leptospirosis more often lately. There’s a reason. 🐶💉

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, and leptospirosis is now a core vaccine for dogs according to American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) guidelines.

🦠 Lepto can cause serious kidney and liver disease in dogs and can also affect people.
💧 How are dogs exposed? Typically through contaminated water where infected animals have been.
🏡 Could your dog still be at risk? Yes. Exposure doesn't require a close encounter with wildlife.
💉 What about vaccine reactions? Today’s lepto vaccines have been reformulated, and reported adverse reactions are uncommon.

At your next visit, talk with your veterinarian about your dog’s individual risk factors and vaccination history.

Did you know that more pets go missing around the Fourth of July than any other time of year? Loud fireworks can cause even the calmest pets to panic, run, hide, or try to escape.

If your pet struggles with anxiety during fireworks, now is the time to plan ahead. Don't wait until the last minute—call or stop by to discuss safe sedation options that can help keep your furry family members calm and comfortable during the celebrations.*

Make sure collars and ID tags are up to date, and consider microchipping if your pet isn't already chipped. We are offering a special on microchips in June and July too.

📞 Call us today at 970-330-9400 to get your pet prepared before the fireworks begin!

Let's work together to keep your pets safe, calm, and at home this Fourth of July. ❤️🐾

*exam must be up to date for sedatives to be prescribed.

One of our clients is in the unfortunate situation where she needs to rehome her kitties. Please contact us if you are interested and we will put you in touch with her.

Oliver is the black and white male neutered cat. He is a lover of people but not other cats. He can go to a house with other dogs as he thinks he is one of them. He is about 4 years old. Medical is up to date (vaccines)
Ciri or Cirilla is a 4 year old female spayed cat. She is a bit more on the shy part and I recommend her going to a house with an older less aggressive cat, a brand new kitten or just a single kitty home. She is a doll when she realizes you are her person and you have treats for her. Medical is up to date (vaccines)
