Connor’s Story 💔🐷

Connor is a little miracle.

He was the only survivor of his litter… his momma killed the rest. He was given to neighbors who lovingly raised him as a pet, but when his new owner discovered she was allergic, she had to urgently find him a new home.

Sadly, many people responding to her post wanted him for meat. She was desperate to make sure that wouldn’t be his fate… and that’s when we stepped in.

Connor made a long, stressful journey to get here, and his little body is feeling it. He developed dipity (a stress-related condition), which causes painful sores along his back that can crack and bleed, and even makes his back legs give out at times. It’s heartbreaking to watch, but we are treating him and giving him all the love and care he needs. With time and medication, we’re hopeful he’ll heal.

Right now, what Connor needs most is rest, comfort, and support 💖

✨ We also need your help to raise funds to get Connor neutered. Every donation, big or small, helps give him the healthy, happy future he deserves.

A Shiprock woman who helps families in the Navajo Nation get veterinary care for their pets – by driving them to appointments, speaking to elders in Navajo and running the area’s only pet food pantry – has been named the 2026 More Than a Pet Community Hero by Humane World for Animals.
