Thank you. Well said. š
A huge THANK YOU to all of the fire departments and first responders currently responding to the fire so close to our home.
It's a scary feeling watching something like this unfold so close to home, but we are incredibly grateful for every single person who has dropped what they're doing to respond and help keep our community safe.
I also want to remind everyone that many of our local fire departments are volunteer departments. They don't have firefighters sitting at the station 24/7 waiting for a call. These are men and women who are at their regular jobs, spending time with their families, or going about their day when that pager goes off. They have to stop what they're doing, get to the fire station, get their equipment, and respond to the emergency.
So please, before criticizing response times, remember that these individuals are leaving their own jobs, homes, and families to protect yours. And they do it because they care about their communities.
To every firefighter and first responder out there today, thank you for your courage, your sacrifices, and your willingness to show up when others need you most.
Praying for everyone's safety and for the families and homes in the path of this fire.
