This may be a tough one for some of you to hear but please understand I'm telling you this to get you on the path to achieving balance with your dog.

Accountability is something I find so many people struggling with when it comes to not only their dog's behavior but their own life.

It's so easy to blame everything under the sun except yourself.

It's easy to blame your dog for your dog for their behavior when in reality you haven't taken the time to truly help them overcome the issues they have.

It's easy to blame your upbringing for why you aren't achieving success and happiness in life when in reality you have the ability to be successful and happy by working hard at something you love and getting out of your comfort zone.

It's easy to blame your spouse or significant other for why your relationship isn't going well when in reality you haven't done everything you can on your end to make it work.

It's easy to blame your boss for not promoting you or putting you in a position to succeed when in reality you have never asked for a meeting to discuss what you want or haven't been doing work worthy of a promotion.

This stuff sucks to hear. I remember the day I decided to take full accountability of my life and take the blame off everyone and everything and put it on myself.

It was uncomfortable because it wasnt familiar to me. I had always made excuses for why I wasn't happy or successful and always had someone to blame but me.

Ask yourself this question:
Have I done everything I can to help my dog overcome their behavior problems?

What excuses have you made for why your dog misbehaves? Who are you blaming? What role do you play in this?

I'm telling you this because I truly care love you and want you to realize that with full accountability, awareness and healing comes true happiness. You go from being powerless to POWERFUL.

Stop blaming your dog. Take full responsibility and do whatever is necessary to help you achieve a balanced relationship with your dog.

Hire a professional (save money and stop spending on dumb s**t), take a weekend to binge on Dog Psychology content from someone like me or , etc.

Blaming yourself = Freedom!!💕

Hi all, here is a quote from one of our IACP Members Heather Beck of K9 Lifeline.

Heather explains further on her quote; "Dogs thrive on structure and consistency and to be fair in working with them we need to be just one step ahead of where they think they can push the boundaries and willing to follow through. Dogs are naturally very persistent, so we need to help them to understand we are willing to match that."

Working the “place” command with 3 of mine. The cats always add a distraction and I’m always happy to see them not move when they walk by.

Yes! This is so true!

Yes! This is so true!

While this is certainly an unpopular, and unappetizing sentiment for many, it’s also the truth.
