The Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center is a local, 501 [c][3] non-profit organization in Great Falls, MT. We receive funds through generous donors and grants only. The mission: Fostering a caring community for animals by providing shelter, advancing anim

al welfare, and promoting the bond between animals and humans through innovative programs, education and service. The Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center is located at 900 25th Avenue NE in Great Falls, MT. The 13,600 square foot facility, provides temporary shelter to cats and dogs in a safe, pleasant and humane environment. Training and education areas provide space for humane education and training courses.

The following animals have recently been brought to Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center as strays. If you believe one may be your pet, please contact the Center at (406) 727-7387.

To help verify ownership, we don’t publicly share gender, spayed/neutered status, microchip information, or collar/tag details. If identification was found, owner contact attempts have already been made.

Please don’t post identifying details in the comments. This helps ensure pets are returned to their rightful families.

We are open Tuesday through Friday, 11am-6pm, and Saturday 10am-6pm.

Ghost is still looking for his forever home! 🐾❤️

Seriously, how handsome is this guy?! 😍 Ghost is a sweet, smart, and incredibly loyal Shepherd mix who is around 5 years old. He is such a good boy, and we know his perfect forever family is out there!

Ghost is smart as can be and already has great manners. He would love to learn new tricks and will happily learn whatever you want to teach him!But what really makes Ghost special is his loyalty. This boy will follow you to the ends of the earth, and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for his person. ❤️

🐾 Help us welcome Joel Almeida to the Maclean-Cameron family! 🐾

We are so excited to introduce Joel Almeida as the new Executive Director of the Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center.

Joel brings more than 30 years of leadership experience and, most importantly, a genuine appreciation for the people who have built this organization and the community that continues to believe in its mission.

From the beginning, Maclean-Cameron has been a story of people coming together for animals — volunteers who dreamed of a safe place for homeless animals, donors and community members who helped make that dream a reality, and the staff, fosters, adopters, veterinarians, businesses, and supporters who continue that work every day.

Joel understands that legacy — and he wants to build on it.

“There is a remarkable story behind Maclean-Cameron. People spent years imagining this Center, raising money for it, building it, volunteering in it, caring for animals in it, and supporting it. My job is to respect that history while helping us think boldly about what comes next.”

As Joel begins his new role, his first priority is to listen, learn, and get to know the people who make Maclean-Cameron what it is. He is excited to meet our staff, volunteers, foster families, adopters, donors, and community partners and learn what makes this organization so special.

And he sees an exciting future ahead — stronger partnerships, expanded volunteer and foster opportunities, deeper connections with supporters, and new ways for more people to become part of the mission.

“I want people throughout Great Falls to feel that Maclean-Cameron is their Animal Adoption Center and that there is a meaningful way for everyone to be part of what we are doing.”

‼️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW ‼️

Recently, we were made aware of a situation involving a young woman who was scammed by someone pretending to represent the Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center after her cat went missing. Unfortunately, scammers can take advantage of people who are already worried and searching for a lost pet.

We want to share some important information with our community to help prevent this from happening to someone else.

The only phone number we use to contact the public is 406-727-7387. We will never contact you by text message.

We will never ask you to make a payment over the phone. All transactions with our Center are completed in person at our facility or through our official website.

We do not perform surgeries or medical procedures at our Center. The only animals receiving medical procedures through us are animals already in our care, and those procedures are handled through veterinary partners.

If someone contacts you claiming to be from our Center and asks for money, personal information, or payment through an unfamiliar method, please do not send any money. Instead, contact us directly at 406-727-7387 so we can help verify whether the communication is legitimate.

We know how stressful and emotional it can be when a beloved pet goes missing. Please be cautious of anyone who tries to take advantage of that situation. ❤️

If you see or receive a suspicious message claiming to be from us, please let us know. Sharing this post may also help protect someone in our community. 🐾
