How long does it take to train a bird dog?
I get this question a lot and I always say…. A lifetime.
Once we build a foundation for you it’s your job to give that dog the experience it needs to make him/her all they can be.
Follow up question is usually How long does it take to build a foundation… my response is always the same… that’s up to your dog. I know what has to be done and I know several way to accomplish the goal. Some dogs learn quickly… some not so much. One technique will work for one dog… maybe not so well with another dog.
You truly never know how a dog is going to do until you start. They have different personalities, different maturity, different reactions to different pressures, different puppy training, different parents….. there are so many variables that We/I have to wade through to find the right training technique to give you the dog you want. This takes time!
