So, Koda (aka Chip Belle/Cassanova boy) is looking for a forever inside home. He is neutered and microchipped. Candidates must be experienced with a Husky and understand he is only 1 yr 3mth old and still a "puppy" for at least another year. He was bad for pulling on a leash but a harness has resolved that nicely. In addition he is learning WAIT and LEAVE IT. I make him wait until I get to bottom of steps then say okay and he comes. He loves all animals and people but HATES to be alone. Left alone, like any bored pupper, he will find something to chew on. The fix for that is to get him used to more and more time alone in a crate or room starting with increments of 5-10 minutes while leaving the room and much praise when he does great. Increasing that time gradually and letting him know bed his his safe zone is just simply time and training and lots of praise and love. I am working on that. Right now he is great in my office with me as you can see, he just sleeps on a blanket. He is a wonderful wonderful loving boy and good with kids. Hie rides in a vehicle very well and loves it. He needs a home where he will be the center of attention. I am working on the crate training now by starting leaving him in my office for increasing periods of time and so far he is doing very good. As for yard, he will need to be in a home with a fenced yard. He only likes to go out and come back in. Left alone, as a pupper, he will dig holes. All of ours did that at one point but now they just go out and come back in. They are not interested in staying out and digging. He has not had one accident here nor has he dug any holes. He is more human than dog and responds best to that knowledge and understanding.
