Not every tooth is affected by dental disease the same way. 🦷🐾

In this video, one tooth is extremely loose, while the teeth around it remain firmly in place. That can indicate significant periodontal disease and bone loss around the affected tooth.

During a dental procedure, we evaluate every tooth individually and use dental X-rays to look for problems hidden below the gumline.

A dental cleaning isn't just about making teeth look better—it’s about finding disease that can't be seen from the outside. 💛

🪰 This is one hitchhiker you definitely don't want your pet bringing home!

This little guy is a botfly larva (Cuterebra), which can burrow beneath the skin of dogs, cats, and other animals.

Signs can include:
• A small lump or swelling in the skin
• A tiny opening in the center of the lump
• Discharge or movement from the opening
• Excessive licking or scratching at the area

Botfly larvae should be removed by a veterinarian to avoid leaving pieces behind or causing additional tissue damage.

A little cuddle time with Addie and Bernie. 🥹🐾

Bernie may be *very* good at taking up your lap, but that’s part of the Maine C**n charm! These gentle giants are known for their large size, long coats, tufted ears, and sweet, social personalities.

And judging by this photo, Bernie has definitely mastered the art of being held like a baby. 😂💛
