We would like to thank everyone who donated a basket, got their dogs a bath or nail trim, maybe a vaccine, adopted a kitten, bought a shirt or bag, enjoyed a cookie or two, purchased raffle tickets, dropped off pop cans or made a monetary donation for our event to help Kathy and Rick, we are all in awe from the generosity of our community. Oh my gosh, I am beyond tears tonight! Our Northern Michigan Community Pet Center family is amazing!! I'd love to say thankyou to Cherry Capital Pet Hospital, Auntie Em's Doggie Services , JackDog Animal Health, Kelly's Kritters, Peaceful Paws Dog Training, and HANDDS to the Rescue. We are very blessed to share this space together. Our bonds and friendships are tight. Our community also has been so supportive 💖. "It does takes a village to raise your family!!, no matter how old we are. I would like to say thankyou, thankyou so very much!! You all are very much appreciated.

We are here today at the center hosting a benefit event for one of our own. Kathy's husband recently passed away from cancer and proceeds from today will go towards medical expenses.

We have low cost vaccines clinic 10-12, $5 nail clippings, dog baths by appointment 8-4, and kitten Adoptions 1-4.

We also have raffle items, silent auction, t-shirt sales, and a bake sale!

Please come out and support Kathy and her family today from 8-4.

YOU CAN COME INTO THE FACILITY NOW AND PLACE YOUR TICKETS!!

Here at the Northern Michigan Community Pet Center we take the meaning of community seriously, I'm just one of 5 entities here and we view things here a little differently :) we're family, so when one of us is hurting or struggling we all are! Last year one of our beloved dog trainers found out her husband was diagnosed with cancer, they have been fighting like crazy to beat this, but in doing so has caused financial as well as physical/mental hardships. On March 12th her husband was brought home from the hospital and hospice was put in place. Kathy is one of the kindest, most hardworking, and caring people I know. She is a veteran, dog rescuer, and dog trainer, she never asks for help and will probably kick our butts for doing this but we're organizing a fundraiser for her! From now til April 2nd H.A.N.D.D.S to the rescue will be doing a pop can drive (you can drop cans off at the facility during business hours or drop cans that are in plastic bags inside of the fenced in area after hours) Kelly's Kritters, the Red Dresser Resale Shop, Farther North, and myself are all donating gift baskets (varying on value), and Cherry Capital Pet Hospital is doing a spay/neuter for a dog/ cat. We will be selling tickets now through April 2nd $5 for 1 or $20 for 5, we are also accepting cash donations for Kathy as well. Why is April 2nd the "deadline"?!? Well that's because on April 2nd Cherry Capital Pet Hospital is doing a vaccine clinic, Kelly's Kritters is donating her kitty adoption money, and I'll be doing baths(by appt) and $5 nail trims all money going to Kathy, and my little minion Clara and her dad are going to be selling cookies that they make! Let's show Kathy how much she truly means to us by helping out!

Happy New Year, welcome to 2021. We are hoping you are all well. Please know that we are here and will continue to support you and your pets. Each of the entities providing services here in our building are following the guidelines of the state at this time of challenge. We are requiring you to wear a mask when in our facility. Please keep track of your pet when in our facility, this means, yes, your dog should be on a short leash, if a retracting leash, please keep it short, (Your dog may be friendly, but others may not be), and please do not scare our kittens. When the kittens are up front they are there in quarantine to protect the other kittens in the cattery, They only have to spend 72 hours out there, but we have found that that can be terrifying when you don't stay back with your dog. We sure would like you to visit our kittens, but please first put your dog in your vehicle or check into your service provider with your pet and then visit, we truly appreciate your understanding. Thankyou for trusting us to help in the well being of your furry friend.

Hope our community is well! Please note we are in full swing here at our facility. Please wear a mask while in our facility. We have many kittens available for adoption at Kelly's kritters. The grooming salon is busy everyday with Auntie Em's and Pawsitively Beautiful, both girls are amazing! Jack dog Animal Health (alternative therapies), and Cherry Capital Pet Hospital, taking appointments to keep your pets healthy and happy. Peaceful Paws dog training is continuously reaching out and giving insight to our two legged and four legged friends! Thankyou for using our services, we appreciate each and everyone of you!!
