🐾 This Memorial Day, we’re grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and reminded that every life deserves compassion, safety, and a place to call home.

NTBHR works year-round to give abandoned, neglected, and surrendered hounds a second chance through medical care, foster homes, rehabilitation, and adoption. These lovable dogs bring so much joy, loyalty, and personality into the lives of the families who welcome them home. ❤️🤍💙

Communities Foundation of Texas is proud to present North Texas Gives to Animals from
May 14-31, 2026. Throughout the two-week fundraising event, donors can explore and give to
any of 300 participating animals organizations at NorthTexasGivingDay.org.
Thanks to help from generous givers and sponsors, Communities Foundation of Texas will
cover all transaction and technology fees so that 100% of all donations go directly to
nonprofits.
To kick off the event on Thursday, May 14, the first $100,000 in donations will be matched
dollar-for-dollar by our presenting partner The Gigi Gartner Charitable Foundation Fund, along
with sponsors Haroon Alvi and Nancy Cozzie Fund and Communities Foundation of Texas.
Available for online gifts only, the first $100 per donor per organization will be matched.

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Fred and Sunshine are in the house (the foster houses that is). Sadly, mom was losing her home and knew we would find the perfect forever home for them.
Sunshine is a petite lemon and white basset at 30 lbs and 1.5 yrs old - she needs a bit of work on her manners and a spay is scheduled but this girl will be ready soon! Fred is 3 yrs old - Tri-colored and just a goofy boy! Check the website for updates! Bassetrescuedfw.org

Look at this cutie- Theo - he may be a bit of a mix but the shelter was desperate to move him and he has the ears, feet and attitude of a basset. So if you are looking for a young, outgoing, smaller basset he's your guy! Watch the website for updates.
