Puffin took a break from the bird field today to go play in the rally ring with her breeder!

This was Puff’s first time running advanced and off leash but she did pretty well earning score of 86! It would’ve been higher if she didn’t need to redo a sign! She also got to run in Novice Pairs with Finn! This brand new team did pretty well earning a third place! Thanks again to her breeder for taking her to play and congrats again to her and Finn for earning their RACH!!!

Apparently, nobody told this pointing dog that water work is supposed to be Puffin’s department. 😂 Swagger hit the water like he’d been doing it his whole life—and even our retriever friends had to stop and take notice.

There’s something pretty special about watching a young bird dog discover a whole new part of the job. From fields to water, he’s proving that being a versatile bird dog is all about having the drive, the attitude, and a good set of listening ears.

Proud of this boy and his willingness to jump in—literally!

Special thanks to Riverstone Goldens for allowing Sika to join the string this season

Yesterday was another training day for this young man, and he’s starting to show us more and more of what he’s made of.

From getting his nose into the cover and learning to trust his bird sense, to carrying a bird back with that proud little look on his face—these are the moments we love watching unfold. Every outing is another opportunity to build confidence, develop natural ability, and teach him what it means to be a bird dog.

There’s still plenty to learn, but that’s the fun part.

Proud of this boy and excited to see where he goes from here. ❤️‍🔥

Good day to be a penguin, bad day to be a chukar, worse day to be the people who had to spend 2 hours getting approximately 74 million sticky burrs out a certain gold retrievers fur.

Thank god Puffin is as tolerant as she is, a lot of people would’ve shaved her down but if we didn’t want to deal this, we wouldn’t have gotten a long haired dog for upland hunting.
