At the request of RVKC member Rick Ward, the Rogue Valley Kennel Club family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dedicated member and friend, Mary Ward, who died on Tuesday following her battle with lung cancer. Rick was at her side as she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Mary served our club with passion and commitment. To simply list her roles as past Treasurer, Show Chair, and President wouldn’t fully capture her impact. Beyond her official roles, she was a volunteer for any task, always displaying a helpful and positive attitude. Her leadership and tireless work were instrumental in the success of our events and the well-being of our club.

We will deeply miss Mary’s helpful spirit, her unwavering support, and her optimism. Her supportive nature touched everyone she met, and her contributions to our club will not be forgotten.

Details regarding a memorial service or tribute will be shared when they become available. In the meantime, please keep her loved ones in your thoughts.

The May RVKC meeting this month will be in-person
at the Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Drive, GP.
Wednesday, May 14th at 6:00 PM.

The Program will be presented by Member and PureDogTalk podcaster Laura Reeves. The subject will be about a dog's form relating to the dog's function - and every dog needs to function, whether the dog is a pet or doing advanced performance work.

2025 CGC Classes and Test
Free classes are Fridays, April 18, April 25 and May 2
the time is 5:30-6:30pm
Come early (5:00PM) to sign in.

Optional CGC test ($20) and optional Trick Dog test ($20) is Saturday, May 3 starting at 2PM

Different location from previous years
Location is at Home Away From Home Pet Spa
100 NE Mill St, Grants Pass
At an outdoor field in the back of the building
and if the weather is bad, there is an indoor room we can use.

Sheriff's Deputy Bayard will be there with the department's Therapy Dog to let us meet the dog and describe the program.

The RVKC MARCH, CLUB AWARDS meeting will be in-person at the Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Drive, GP. TONIGHT, Wednesday, March 12th at 6:00 PM.

Club Awards will be presented so everyone please come and support our members' accomplishments. The variety of activities where dogs earn titles is always impressive.

If people would like to celebrate with some 'finger foods' and/or sweet treats, it would be lovely if you would bring some. I plan to bring my first ever attempt at a sheet cake. I'll bring paper plates, napkins, and forks. BYO non-alcoholic drink.

Member Beckie Elgin will present a very interesting Program explaining the RH (Rettungshunde) (Search and Rescue related) program and title.
There will be dog demonstrations!

Deputy Bayard from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Division will be the featured speaker. Deputy Bayard handles a police dog trained as a therapy dog.
