Pound Pets Inc. Rescue We are a 501c3 no-kill animal rescue We are a Non Profit organization. We are fosterbased so we are constantly looking for foster homes.

Some of our dogs have to the be the only pets in the home so those foster homes are always needed. We have very few dogs due to the lack of foster homes. If you would like to foster, please complete a foster appliation. We can't save them if they have no place to go.

This was a terrible and unnecessary incident. Our volunteer was hurt and two of our adopted dogs were killed. This is not okay. We were at Animal control long enough to know that dogs were held there when situations happened that weren't nearly as bad as this one. Dogs were held for weeks simply because they ran too much and they were taking the owners to court because of that. Dogs were put down immediately if they had their rabies when they bit someone. Why are the rules different here? That's what we are asking ourselves and the city. Kathy, Molly and Bella did nothing wrong. Bella and Molly were both on leashes and they were just enjoying a nightly walk. They were doing the thing they loved to do, and they didn't go home that night. The citizens of this city need to demand answers. It could be you and your dog next.

Introducing our new resident. This is Stanley, AKA King Stanley. Stanley was found wandering by a young couple near the tree line at a trailer park. There have been no reports of Stanley missing. We believe he is partially blind. He may have some sight out of his right eye. He has no bottom jaw and no teeth. The vet believes that this is a birth defect. He is a senior boy and as you can tell looks like he had missed a lot of meals. He was covered in fleas and cockleburs. He was immediately given a meal and a soft bed by the people who found him. He slept soundly. Since then he has been to the vet, given a bath, given a flea treatment and he currently eats puppy milk mixed with wet food. He gets fed every few hours while he's putting on weight. He will go back for his second vet visit next week. Once he is released by the vet he will be available for adoption. In the meantime we are going to create him his own page so you can get to know him a little better. He is currently in Foster with Kristie. Welcome to Pound Pets King Stanley. We got you.

As I'm sure most of you remember, Baby Girl had a pretty big health scare not too long ago. She was suffering from bloat. When we went in to get that taken care of, they also found a node on her liver and that was removed. Later on that night while being monitored at the emergency vet in Collinsville, she began to bleed. They opened her back up and went in and stopped the bleed but also found that she had more nodes on her spleen, they removed that. That was a pretty big medical bill for us at about $14,000. But we think she's worth it. We want to thank and the BISSELL Pet Foundation for the grant to use towards baby girls medical bills!!
