Another super proud post. Lemon drop kiss went home yesterday morning to do some hunting and spend some family time. She had a banger of a weekend. She put the peices of training together and overlayed that to hunting. She picked up 30 birds total yesterday and today. What an incredible dog. I knew after her second week of bring here that she was something very special. What an amazing little dog. 9 months old this past week. Dakota (Dakota/Maverick) owned by my friend Kris Zenker had a big weekend. Several teal and a pile of geese and one with some bling. Not sure how many bands this dog has but it's way more than me. 😆 I've ran alot of dogs in my time. But none like Dakota. He's a house dog. Therapy dog( sometimes you need therapy around him lol) one of the baddest hunting dogs I've ever seen. Kris trained this dog and he had his hands full. I have so many outrageous Dakota stories, most unbelievable. Lol. But all true. He uses his nose like NO DOG I've ever seen. These 2 are a perfect pair. Both soldiers. Both bout it. Both crazy. 😝 thats what makes them a great team. What a dog. And what a story to go with it. If these foxy and daisy pups bred to dakota are anything like him, yall will have you something very special. Because Dakota is a "once in a lifetime" dog. Kris and I are talking about breeding Dakota to Levee. My barn burner dog. If we do, anyone that buys those pups will have to sign a waiver of responsibility. 😝🤪😜 They won't be for the faint of heart. That I can assure you. But they will be incredible.

Alright, alright, Alright! Now we have Squire (Bailey/Tannis) owned by Courtney Goodman. Ol Squire picked up 35 doves and ran 5 big blinds in tall cover. Courtney trained Squire all herself. They are a fantastic team. Squire is much of a dog. No breaking. No whining. Just all business. These two are the real deal. Squire picked up several ducks last season. Super proud of these guys.

Our buddy John Lane who owns Ace who just left here after a tune up. We didn't train the dog originally. But we tuned him up last month. Ace is a guide dog from Sept 1st until Mid March. Ace had a big weekend in Arkansas with to Feathers outfitters, one of John's other businesses. Ace picked up 34 big geese for the Arkansas opener. 2 of those sailed out past 250 yards. Ace has no MH title or HRCH title. Not even a started title. But he is proof that those things aren't needed to be an incredible dog. Ace doesn't cast. He doesn't sit to a whistle. And I'll be honest, I didn't think it was possible when Ace first came here. But it didn't take me long to be an absolute believer. Ace can mark and he can hunt. He sees birds fall that we didn't even see fall. And he pin point marks those birds. Right before he left we threw him a quad out over the water. And the last mark didn't clear the winger hide. It went straight up about 2 foot and landed right in front of a log. Actually between the hide and a log. Ace ran his triple and I was gonna send my helper to get that last mark. But Ace was locked on to that 4th bird. I told my helper there was no way he was gonna get that bird. But I trusted the dog and that day he made me a believer. Straight to it and straight back. Proof that pedigree makes dogs. Not ribbons. Ribbons are cool. But birds are way cooler. We are blessed to have a kennel that produces and trains top notch hunting dogs. Ace isnt from our breedings. I'm not saying that. I'm saying that his pedigree and application in life has made him into the beast that he is. We are blessed to have had him and so many more like him in our program. These are the stories that keep us going. I'm very close to never running another hunt test. Not even started. I like walls full of pretty ribbons. But Ace is proof to me that those are just accolades. The real test is in the field. The real test is a sailer out past 250 yards. The real test is 250 decoys and a sack full of motion decoys and a pile of birds on the tail gate. We are blessed that we don't have to run those tests to be successful. The proof is in the pudding. And I love duck pudding. 😝

Now we have Nova girl. We sure have so many amazing updates from this weekend. Nova girl went home a week or so ago. Now she has settled in to her new home with our friend Mr Joey Rowe. Mr Joey said she was the baddest little dog ever. Doing great in the house and in the field. She is such an incredible dog. I sure miss her. But she's living her best life. It's so hard to see her go. But so amazing to see her fulfilling her purpose. She picked up lots of birds this morning on her first hunt. Over 40 the last time I spoke to Mr Joey. How cool is that. Rock on baby girl.

Mr. Eli Metts sent us this update last night of his pup from Ruby and Tannis's litter. Chief has turned out to be quite the dog. It was Tannis's last litter before he passed 💙.

Wild girl working on steadiness and a double out past 80 yards. This girl is doing great to be so young. Proud of this little dog. She will go home to texas pretty soon to be a hunting dog. Proud of this little wild child.
