Unpopular opinion: Your reptile should spend the majority of its time in its enclosure. 🦎
And that’s exactly why the enclosure needs to be correct.
These are exotic animals. The majority come from very specific environments—tropical, subtropical, arid, etc.—with specific temperature, humidity, lighting, and environmental needs.
When you routinely remove them from that environment, you're also removing them from the conditions their bodies are adapted to function in.
I’m not saying never handle your reptile. Handling is a great part of keeping many species, and some absolutely tolerate and even seem to enjoy it.
But handling should not become the majority of their day.
Their enclosure is their home, not a holding tank they spend all day waiting to be taken out of.
If your reptile needs to be out for hours every day to get enrichment, stimulation, or attention because you don't think its enclosure provides enough—maybe the enclosure is where we need to start looking.
Build them an environment worth staying in. Because handling is a bonus.
A proper enclosure is a necessity

Thank you so much for everyone that stopped by my table at the fair !! Truly appreciate each and everyone of you .
That being said it was a long week so I will be doing the live drawing tomorrow we’ll see who wins the $50 credit towards anything in my store !
