Having a well-trained dog means you'll get lots of compliments from all of the guests that come to your home. I'm told often by service technicians that my dog is a very good dog and today was told he's an angel, and you bet I soaked up that compliment... 😇 😏

Finished up the Full Obedience program with Walter and his owners yesterday!

His owners originally reached out to me concerned about complaints from his daycare regarding his hyper energy and jumping issue. He would get highly aroused, jump all over everyone, and struggle to settle down. Since they did my full program; we worked on Relationship-Building for foundational work and healthy social placement, natural obedience, and to get Walter in his natural more balanced state of mind, regulation skills, door and people greeting manners, and also obedience command work such as place training, drop it, and recall work.

This boy was an absolute pleasure to work with and his owners were great to work with as well; Walter is a super sweet, happy-go-lucky guy with a lot of excited energy, and his owners took things seriously, put in the work, and let me have fun with them throughout the process as well (those of you who know me and have worked with me, know I like to have fun if I can!). I loved working with them.

As a bonus, this guy passed the program with flying colors and was pretty much perfect at everything for his final test (I don't say that lightly 😉). I'm truly so proud of all of the progress we made and I'm so grateful they chose me. ♥️

I have a goal to reach 50 five star Google reviews by the end of the year. I'm at 43 now, so just 7 more are needed.

Even if it was years ago— if you had a good experience with me, I would really appreciate a review! They not only help me be found more easily on Google when dog owners are searching for local trainers, but they also help provide those same dog owners with information about what the experience of working with me is like when they're trying to decide if they want to hire me. I am still a one-woman business, so they help my business grow as well. I know life is busy, but it only takes a few minutes!

Everyone meet Rockey, the 8 year old Australian Shepherd! 👋

Rockey and her owner just finished up my 6 week Foundations Program. Her owner originally reached out concerned about her level of reactivity and anxiety, since she was recently diagnosed with epilepsy, and she really wanted to get things under control. She hired another local trainer in the past that refused to work with her without anxiety medication, so I was determined to give them another path forward.

I was still including Reactivity and Place training in this program at the time they signed up for it, so we focused on building a healthy foundation of relationship, communication, and reactivity management to try to get Rockey in a calmer, less sympathetic state of mind for her well-being.

We jam-packed a lot into the 6 weeks that we were together but we built a great foundation and made great progress, and I feel honored to have been given the opportunity to help create a more hopeful and less stressful future for them. As we were finishing up, her owner shared with me that she feels hope again and feels l like she can breathe again, and that's exactly the kind of outcome that I wanted. Grateful they chose me and trusted my process. ♥️
