A while back, I made a post about changes we wanted to make within our program — and I’m proud to say those changes have been happening. 🤍
We’ve made changes within our cats themselves, our breeding program, the way we raise our kittens, the decisions we make, and honestly, almost every part of how we do things.
We’ve learned. We’ve grown. We’ve changed our minds about things. We’ve found better ways of doing things. And we’re still learning every single day.
Breeding isn’t something where you learn one set of guidelines and follow them forever. There is always more to learn — new information, new experiences, different situations, and lessons that sometimes can only come from actually living it.
Most breeders learn and evolve as they go. None of us start out knowing everything, and even after years of experience, there is always room to improve.
For us, being a responsible breeder means being willing to look at our own program and say, “How can we make this better?”
Sometimes that means changing something we’ve done for years. Sometimes it means investing more time, money, or effort. Sometimes it means admitting that there may be a better way than the way we originally learned.
Our cats and kittens deserve a program that continues to evolve with everything we learn — not one that stays the same simply because “that’s how we’ve always done it.”
We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about where we’re going.
We will keep learning. We will keep making changes when they’re needed. We will keep raising our standards. And most importantly, we will continue putting the health, happiness, and future of our cats and kittens at the center of every decision we make. 🐾🤎
Growth doesn’t mean you failed before. It means you learned enough to do even better moving forward.
