Your cat’s commute could include a play break and a nap. Honestly, we’re a little jealous 😉

Thank you Purrs & Beans NZ for sharing this with us!

The fluff-to-athleticism ratio here is purrrrfect!

Cats are natural climbers, and those claws are built to help them grip as they make their way upward. A sisal-wrapped pole gives them a surface for scratching, stretching and putting those climbing instincts to work.

Did you know toe beans are built-in shock absorbers?

A cat’s paw pads contain fatty tissue that helps cushion their feet when they run and land from jumps. That padding is part of what allows cats to move so quietly and gracefully.

Whatever the reason, we love the pink beans 🫘

Going up: easy. Getting down: slightly more difficult.

A cat’s curved claws are perfectly designed for gripping surfaces while climbing upward. But because those claws curve toward the back of the paw, descending headfirst doesn’t provide the same advantage. That’s why cats will often back down, turn around, or carefully improvise their route.

Do not disturb. Important cat business in progress. 💤

Cats can sleep anywhere from 12–16 hours a day, so where they choose to snooze matters. Elevated resting spots give cats a comfortable place to relax while still letting them keep an eye on their surroundings

POV: The catnip just hit. 🌿

Catnip contains a compound called nepetalactone, which binds to receptors inside a cat’s nose and can trigger everything from zoomies and rolling to rubbing, stretching, and general silliness. The effects usually only last about 10–15 minutes, and this guy appears to be using every second wisely.

Cats learn through pawsitive reinforcement: reward the behavior you want, practice in short sessions, and gradually increase the challenge. Adding a favorite wand toy can make training (or playing) even more engaging.
