It’s been a great week getting to know some wonderful new patients and their families. Here are a few recent visits we captured:

🐶 Freya – An 8-week-old Miniature Dachshund who came in for her first visit with Dr. Weaver. She was calm, friendly, and very comfortable being handled during her exam, making a great first impression on the team.

🐕 Murphy – A 10-week-old Golden Retriever who visited Dr. Sutphen to establish care. He was attentive, easygoing, and such a good boy throughout his appointment, happily soaking up attention from everyone he met.

🐾 Chewy – A 4-month-old French Bulldog who returned for his next round of vaccines and quickly made himself comfortable visiting with the front desk team before his appointment. Such a sweetie!

🩵Winnie (DeMott) – A 10-week-old Pug who came in to see Dr. Zachos for her next puppy vaccines. She kept technician Kimmie busy playing around the exam room and was photographed mid-zoom during one of her laps around the room.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

From all of us at Family Friends Veterinary Hospital, we wish our clients, patients, and community a safe and peaceful Memorial Day.

As a reminder, our hospital is closed today in observance of the holiday. We will reopen tomorrow for normal business hours. If your pet experiences an emergency today, please contact Animal Emergency Hospital in Grand Rapids or Byron Center.

Meet this week’s Welcome Wednesday crew joining the Family Friends family! ✨

🐶 Marshal — a 16-week-old Pitbull Mix recently adopted through Michele’s Rescue. He stopped by for his very first wellness visit and quickly became best friends with Dr. Ryan.

🐾 Winnie — an 8-week-old Pug puppy visiting us for the first time since joining her new family. Safe to say she was spoiled with attention and cuddles from the whole team during her appointment.

🐕 Bash — a 4-month-old Saint Bernard Mix who was recently rescued by his forever family. He handled his first visit like a champ and melted everyone’s hearts along the way.

🐈‍⬛ Gilbert — a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair who was found as a stray and lovingly welcomed into his new home. He made himself very comfortable during his visit and absolutely owned his photo moment.

🐩 Oaklynn — a 7-month-old Bernadoodle visiting us for the first time with her new family, but not her first time in our hospital! We previously met her as part of her litter, and it was so fun seeing how much she’s grown.

🐱 Mylo — an 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair who came in to establish care and update his vaccines. He was the definition of a good boy for Dr. Hagen and ERT Brook for his visit.

❤️ Anthony — a 4-month-old Pitbull Mix rescued through Hearts of Hope after being found as a stray in Detroit. Despite his rough start, he was incredibly loving with our entire team and is getting ready to head to his forever home soon.

🐶 Dreux — an 11-week-old Australian Shepherd puppy in for her first wellness visit since joining her new family. She’ll be growing up on a farm surrounded by furry friends, and we already can’t wait to watch her grow.

🐕 George — a 12-week-old Golden Retriever who crushed his first appointment with Dr. Davis. He earned a clean bill of health, plenty of treats, and lots of cuddles from the team.
