Real talk: fireworks season sneaks up faster than we'd like 🎆

If your pet turns into a nervous wreck the moment things start popping outside, this is your sign to start prepping NOW, not at 9pm on July 3rd when everyone's panicking together.

A few easy wins: set up a cozy hideaway spot at home, double-check that microchip info is current (spooked pets are escape artists), and if your vet's already mentioned calming options for your pet, now's the time to grab them.

Got questions about what might actually help your pet this year? Give us a call, we love talking through this stuff with you.

Plan ahead: We will be closed on Saturday, Jully 4th for both General Practice and Urgent Care. For medication pick-ups, please allow 24-48 hours to fill prescription requests.

Our team has had the pleasure of meeting lots of new patients lately, and we always enjoy getting to know the personalities behind those first appointments. Here are a few recent visitors:

🐶Bowser – A 9-week-old English Bulldog puppy who came in for his first visit since joining his new family. He was calm, wrinkly, and full of charm, and it didn’t take long for him to have the whole team smitten.

🐈‍⬛Sesame – A handsome 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair who was adopted as a stray back in October. Though FIV+, he’s thriving in his new home and living a happy, healthy life with his family. He was such a sweetheart during his visit.

🐾Eddie, Rocky & Roo – Easily one of the cutest groups we saw all week! Ranging from 2 to 11 years old, the trio started off a little unsure, but with plenty of patience, cuddles, and reassurance, they all settled in beautifully for their first wellness visit.

🐕Ruger – An 11-week-old Labrador Retriever who returned for his second visit and another round of vaccines. He was a wiggly, happy boy and brought all the classic Labrador puppy energy to his appointment.

🐩Tuk – A 9-week-old Goldendoodle who recently joined both his new family and the FFVH family. He was sweet, social, and happy to meet everyone during his first visit.

🐶Faye – A 4-month-old Border Collie mix who came in for her second visit and next round of vaccines. Though a little shy at first, she warmed up with plenty of patience and encouragement and did wonderfully with her care team.

We’re grateful to each family who trusts FFVH with their pet’s care and love being part of these early milestones. We are always accepting new patients—visit our website to learn more and schedule your first appointment! 🐾

We’ve had the chance to meet another wonderful group of new patients recently—here are a few of the faces we welcomed to FFVH:

Charlie– A 10-week-old English Springer Spaniel who came in for her first puppy visit. After her exam and vaccines, she was soaking up plenty of love from her DVM, Dr Gabby.

Miso & Fiona– 10-week-old Domestic Mediumhair littermates who spent their visit exploring the exam room and climbing everything they could. Born as barn kittens, they’re now settling into indoor life with their new family.

Micco– A 4-month-old French Bulldog/Wheaten Terrier mix (a combination we don't see every day!) who kept everyone smiling with his friendly, social personality. He was happy to meet new people and we can't wait to watch him grow up.

Rosie– A 16-week-old Boxer who returned for her final puppy vaccines with Dr. Cooper. A little nervous at first, she quickly warmed up with treats and encouragement.

✨Darren– A 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair who came in for a post-neuter checkup with Dr. Zachos. Found outdoors and cared for by a wonderful FFVH client, he is now healthy and ready for a forever home! He happily tolerated endless cheek squishes while purring the entire time.

Toast– A 4-month-old Australian Shepherd mix recently adopted through Pet Tales Rescue. He came in for his first visit to update vaccines and receive a wellness check, proudly showing off his favorite toy the whole time.

Poppy– An 11-week-old Dachshund who returned for her second puppy visit. Though a little shy initially, she quickly came out of her shell—especially when cheese was involved—and was friendly and social with her care team.

Penelope– A 4-week-old Domestic Shorthair kitten who came in for her first wellness exam after being found as a stray. She received a thorough checkup and charmed everyone during her visit.

Charlie– A 10-week-old Boxer who visited for his first wellness exam. He was a sweet, affectionate puppy who happily accepted treats, cuddles, and attention from everyone he met.

We’re grateful to each family who trusts FFVH with their pet’s care. We are accepting new patients—visit our website to learn more and schedule your first visit!
