Disaster can strike at any moment. It's important to be prepared and don't forget to include your pets in your emergency plan!

Build a separate emergency kit for your pets that should include food, water, any medications, leash and collar, and their favorite toy or bed to help reduce their stress.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Make sure and keep pictures of you and your pets to help identify and show proof of ownership after a disaster in case you become separated and a copy of their current vaccinations.

If you have a plan in place for you and your pets, you will likely encounter less difficulty, stress and worry when you need to make a decision during an emergency.
