As some of you already know, the mascot of Urban Trotters passed away on Sunday after his health took an unexpected turn. Joey was a beautiful soul, truly one of a kind. As my first dog, I learned so much from him. He was the one who inspired me to become more knowledgeable on gentler training and handling. This boy will be sorely missed. I am having a hard time knowing what to expect from life without him.

With that, I am raising funds to help pay down the cost of his emergency and after-life care on my Care Credit card. More details are laid out on my Go Fund Me page. Thank you in advance. ❤

Under our increasingly oppressive and violent conditions, I feel compelled to follow the lead of fellow small GR businesses, adding Urban Trotters to the list of local businesses holding anti-racist, anti-oppressive ethics. From Palestine to the US, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Admittedly, it's difficult for me to share personal tidings with an audience I can't see. Though, I think your feedback is greatly valuable. ❤️

As I work to develop my professional career working with animals, I've decided to go back to school and work towards become a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist. This journey is difficult and will take time.

In the meantime, I'd like to ask my audience what you feel like you need help with regarding your pets. Is it behavior questions/support, finding trustworthy facilities, financial assistance with essentials, etc.?

I want to keep updating resources and developing my plan to collaborate with my audience and supporters! 🐾

We are looking for a foster for this handsome guy, potato pancake.

🥞 He tested negative for heartworm.

🥔 He’s not neutered but we’ll get that done soon.

🥞 He did well on his buddy walk with another dog. We are unable to test him with cats and children at this time

🥔 He’s about 54 pounds.

We pay for the vetting and supplies.

With the weather turning to actually feel like Fall, I feel it's important to reflect on all of the wonderful summer memories that were made in 2025.

So many paws and so many steps filled this summer! I'm so thankful for all the humans and canines that make my job so special. ❤️

Social media is hard to keep up with these days, but I wanted to share this little man with you all.

Elliot started walking with Urban Trotters last July with his brother Whiplash. We had plenty of trots together before his health took a turn and he was hospitalized. His human decided it was his time to go.

Such a small pup left a big mark on our hearts. We will remember his sweet tail wags and following his brother to all the best sniff spots. ❤️

Hold your furry ones close and give them some extra lovins in honor of Mr. Elliot. 🌈🌁

The snow can't stop us! Can you tell how each of these pups are feeling about the cold, snowy weather?

Reading dog body language is part of the job. As their caretakers, we need to know how the dogs are feeling in their environment. We also watch for abnormalities in the usual routine and prepare to change plans on a dime if necessary.

It's a unique job but these guys are worth every second of the cold. 🥶❤️
