Friends, meet Polly. Polly, meet our friends. Polly is new to the Reactive Referral Center. She came with her mom for her first visit and so far she gives Dr. Paukette and Rachael 4.5 stars. She's reserving the last half star for her next visit ... she wants to make sure they don't try and give her less treats just because she fell in love the first time. We, however, give Polly 5 stars. We were so glad to meet you, Polly, and we look forward to teaching you that you can trust us! Here's to more whipped cream in your future!

ChaCha and Chompers came in for some wellness care and, although they live in the same house, they have different opinions on the best treat at the vet. ChaCha is Team Reddi-wip and Chompers is solidly Team Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Which team is your pet joining?

Lizzy was nervous about being restrained for her vet care and would squirm her way right out of what needed to happen. Her previous vet recognized that Lizzy would probably benefit from the extra time and cooperative care practice we are able to offer and referred her family to us. Lizzy and her mom and dad have been practicing for her exam with our LVT Rachael. Today Lizzy graduated from cooperative care!! She was able to get her exam and her blood drawn without having to be sedated or restrained. CONGRATUALTIONS TO LIZZY AND HER FAMILY!!!!

We know … everyone!!! Well now is your chance. Enter your pets in our Fall Photo Scavenger Hunt. 📸 (Your pet does not have to be a current client here.) We know that lots of dogs love to go out and do fun activities like apple picking 🍎, corn mazes 🌽, and tractor rides 🚜 and we can’t wait to see those adventures!! But we want our introverts to be able to participate, too! So, think outside the box! Be creative! We have included some fun examples but can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Nova came to kick off fall with her annual visit to see Dr. Paukette and Rachael. Today was her very first time in the clinic without her emotional support little dog friend and she even came through the front door! While she was here, she also proudly showed everyone the friend she picked up in the woods. So Nova would like to remind you to check your dogs for ticks and the importance of flea and tick prevention, especially now that fall is here! And we would like tell Nova how proud of her we are!

Does your pet have insurance? Jerry does. He is only 4 but has had insurance since he was a puppy. And thank goodness, because as you can see, he's spent some of his mom's money on his wonky (that's a technical medical term) back legs. Thankfully they have Trupanion insurance so we could submit the claim for them. His surgery was preapproved. So his mom just had to pay her portion and Trupanion paid the rest directly. And not only was his surgery covered but his follow-up acupuncture and physical therapy are also covered through their rehabilitation add-on policy. Questions about insurance? We would love to answer them or help connect you with someone who can!

We got to spend some time getting to know this sweet puppy this week. Bleu started off his very first vet visit with lots of fun snacks and learning when he comes to see his friend Dr. Paukette, he doesn't have anything to worry about. We can't wait to watch him grow!

It's allergy season again! Artemis came today for her acupuncture, but since we don't just see her for that, her mom was able to talk with Dr. Paukette about some changes she saw in Artemis' skin. Because we are a full-service veterinary clinic, Artemis and her mom left with a plan to start figuring out what this good girl needs to be a little less itchy.

Bud and Tito came to see us for their annual vaccine and heartworm test appointment. The visit is also a great time to check and make sure everything else is going well. It's a great opportunity for Dr. Paukette to check for things like ear infections, any new or unusual lumps or bumps, vision changes, or dental issues that we may need to treat. But nobody tell Tito and Bud all that happened while they were here!
