Captain Catnip is currently stationed in the exact center of the floor, where all movement is clearly a personal inconvenience directed at him.

Eyes half closed. Ears tipped back. Full-on annoyed mode engaged.

The surrounding hubbub has been noted, disapproved of, and mentally filed under “absolutely unnecessary.” Every step nearby is met with silent judg

ment and the unmistakable energy of a cat who feels the entire shelter should have been quieter, slower, and preferably nonexistent for the next several hours.

He will not be moving. You will be adjusting.

His adopter just scored herself a world-class snuggler, professional lap warmer, and all-around excellent companion.

Welcome to The Sandy Woods Senior Center (aka Dr. Jen's home away from home) officially overseen by Miss Magda.

Operations are running smoothly in our rustic division. Paloma and Mr. Johnson appear quite satisfied with the accommodations, though I remain the one conducting quality control.

Both residents seem drawn to the outdoors, likely due to their long history of “unsupervised wilderness living,” as the humans like to call it. Here, they are permitted controlled access to the enclosed patio where they may engage in approved activities such as leaf inspection, grass sampling, sunbathing, and dignified rolling.

Mr. Johnson continues to display strong enthusiasm for all weather conditions. I observe he believes he is one with the elements. This is tolerated, though I ensure he is brought indoors at night due to his… extremely efficient physique. He is built like a breeze could knock him over, and I am not taking chances with company property.

Paloma, meanwhile, maintains a far more practical philosophy: if the food bowl is present, she considers life fully optimized. I respect this efficiency.

In summary: peaceful environment, acceptable enrichment opportunities, and two residents who seem to think they are on vacation. I allow it.

"Wait... ALL of these goodies are for us?!"

Mika could hardly believe her eyes when she saw the mountain of treats and food that arrived for the kitties! Don't worry. She promises she'll share with her feline friends (even if she looks a little tempted to keep it all for herself).

As a nonprofit rescue, we rely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters. Donations like these help us provide the food, treats, and care our cats need every single day. We truly cannot thank you enough for thinking of our kitties and sending items from our wishlist.

Tony Hock has officially skated his way into a forever home with one of our very own volunteers! 🎉

This little dude went from shelter life to full-time couch cruising faster than a downhill longboard. We always knew he had great balance… especially when it came to balancing “chaos gremlin” energy with expert snuggling skills.

Looks like Tony Hock finally found the perfect landing spot. No wipeouts here! Just happily ever afters. ❤️

Souvlaki has officially found his forever home. 🎉

His adopters sent us this sweet photo of him looking completely relaxed, content, and right where he belongs. Safe to say he has settled in beautifully already.
