💔 Help Me Save Marble – Emergency Tail Amputation Needed

Hi friends,
Most of you know me as the owner of Harmony at Home Pet Care. Today, I’m reaching out not as a business—but as someone who found a broken soul on her doorstep and couldn’t look away.
On the morning of May 28th, I opened my front door to a shocking sight: a black and white cat, covered in blood and limping, standing on my porch. Before I could get to him, he ran off—but I knew he was hurt badly. I called Roberta at Great Tails Animal Rescue and met up with Jen from Bark and Beyond, and we came up with a plan.
I set up a trap, watched the neighborhood with a camera, and eventually spotted him again. His tail was mangled—skin torn off, bent in multiple places—and his back legs were missing fur and skin. It took days (and one confused raccoon), but I finally caught him on June 2nd.
I’ve named him Marble.
He’s currently hiding in the top of my bathroom closet, too scared to come down—but so gentle. Despite everything, he hasn’t hissed or scratched once. He’s just… broken and quiet. His tail is so damaged that it has to be amputated to prevent infection and give him a chance to live pain-free.
The surgery and aftercare will cost around $750, and I’m asking for help to cover it.
If you can donate, anything helps—$5, $10, it adds up. You can also donate in person at Bark and Beyond, LLC, who have been a huge help through all of this.
Even if you can’t give, please share Marble’s story. He may be broken, but he’s not beyond healing—and I believe in the kindness that brings people together to help those who can’t ask for it themselves.
Thank you all so much.
