I often get asked "why the name Sunflower Dachshunds?"
And a favorite quote comes to mind "always turn your face to the sun".

Breeding isn't easy... We lose puppies, sometimes we lose our precious Mamas. We have to let go of dogs we had hopes and dreams for, that don't turn out as we'd hoped. Like a sunflower, I try to keep the darkness behind and light in front, even through the most challenging times. Dachshunds also share sunshine and joy with their families, and those who love them. So in my mind, sunflowers and dachshunds go hand in hand.... In case you were wondering 🌻🌻🌻🌻

At the Chicagoland Hound show- "Lawsons N Dredachs weapon X at SFD's ML" - Logan was WD and BOW for his second major in less than a week!!! He now only needs one point to finish his championship.

Thank you to his breeder and co-owner, Ashley Olson Titsworth of Lawson's Kennel for supporting us and allowing Annaliese and I to guide him to his full potential. He's such a special boy!

***Icing on the cake was to show alongside Logan's PHENOMENAL dad.... The one and only Harvey!

The most amazing part of the show weekend was my journey with Asti. For those who know how special her Mom Odette is to me, understand how much this means.

Saturday: WB, BOW, Best bred by puppy and bred by puppy group 3 for a 4 point Major. Thank you judge Helen Neitsch.

Sunday: WB for a 4 point Major, thank you judge Justin Donnenbring

Monday: WB, BOW, BOV, OHBB for a 5 point Major to finish her championship in TWO show weekends!!! Thank you to judge Michael Canalizo.
