Meet Bandit, one of our brave patients today 🐾
This little one came in with classic signs of adrenal disease — one of the most common conditions we see in ferrets. You might notice the hair loss (called alopecia) starting at the tail and working up the body. It can look alarming, but the good news? It's very treatable.
Today we placed a Supelorin implant — a tiny hormonal pellet that slowly releases deslorelin to suppress the overactive adrenal gland. It's a minimally invasive, long-lasting option that most ferrets tolerate really well.
If your ferret is losing hair, seems itchy, lethargic, or is straining to urinate, please don't wait — early treatment makes a big difference. 💛
