Rescue Spotlight: N&N Exotic Reptile Rescue LLC

We are incredibly proud to introduce Nicole and Neil from Grand Rapids, Michigan—the dedicated team behind N&N Exotic Reptile Rescue LLC! They are the second of three amazing rescues we are honored to be highlighting and fundraising for at our upcoming Beast Pets Market Place by Asylum Expo, taking place on Saturday, November 28.

Nicole and Neil have been passionate reptile enthusiasts since childhood. Their transition from dedicated hobbyists to active rescuers began in 2021 when local animal control reached out for emergency assistance with a tegu found in a dumpster. When asked for their business name, they realized it was time to make it official—and N&N Exotic Reptile Rescue was born. Over the past five years, they have successfully rescued, treated, and rehabilitated over 1,000 reptiles from across Michigan and surrounding states.

N&N is deeply committed to providing a safe, healing haven for non-native reptiles and amphibians, regardless of the challenging circumstances that brought them in. With the expert support of their veterinarian, they rehabilitate animals and work tirelessly to find them loving, permanent forever homes. Their wide range of services includes handling surrenders, facilitating adoptions, organizing educational outreach programs, native reptile relocation, and professional boarding.

We are truly honored to support their mission and the essential work they do for our community’s animals. We hope you will join us on November 28 to meet them in person (if they are able to stop in), or look for their information and fund raiser there, learn more about their vital rescue efforts, and help us support their cause!

‼️‼️IMPORTANT 2027 PROGRAM UPDATE‼️‼️

One of our favorite parts of our job is teaching about reptiles at various events whether it be a birthday party, summer camp presentation, library shows, or larger events. Pricing for these events has not seen any increase in the last 5 years because we believe in the affordability of getting up close and personal with our scaley friends.
This year has brought some changes that will be reflected in a slight price increase from our original $160 per hour to our new price of $200 per hour beginning on January 1st, 2027.
If you’ve had us out to an event before, you’ve probably met the two people behind this page and business, Nicole and Neil.
We began this journey 6 years ago as a couple with a love for reptiles and as this year comes to a close we are tying the knot in October and welcoming our first baby in November.
With that being said, our program availability will be limited in October, and extremely slim in November. We will not be booking programs in December 2026 or January 2027.
‼️You do have a few months to book 2027 programs at our current pricing if you book before December 31st of this year. ‼️
We appreciate all of your support as always, and we hope you have a great Sunday! 🐢🐍
Please PM us with any questions or to book your event!

We received a species that we haven’t had here before, and we’re so excited about it! This is an adult female Madagascar Giant Hognose! 🐍 They are the largest hognose species in the world growing to 6 feet long. Her name is Venom and she is just under 5 feet long at 4 years old. Shes an absolute stunner and we’re super excited to get to know her. Shes a bit shy and flighty sometimes, but she handles well once she’s out. Photos don’t do her justice, she is absolutely massive! 💚

We have many new arrivals over the last month that we need to introduce! 🐢🐍💚
First we have three different corn snakes, ranging in age from 2-7 years old. They are all from separate homes, and just needed a new place to stay.
We also have a 10 month old bearded dragon, a 3 year old Sulcata, and two young female red foots. The red foots have some pyramiding and signs of MBD, but we’re hoping to see improvements over time with proper care. All of them are doing well overall and will be looking for homes once their quarantine and observation period is over. 😊

This is Turbo, the 10 year old Russian tortoise! He came to us with a severely overgrown beak which was carefully trimmed yesterday. He looks so much more comfortable and he’s finally able to eat snacks without a struggle! 🐢
He is completing his quarantine and observation period, but after he will be looking for a home. 🩷

This is Rooster, the female whites tree frog! 🐸
She was surrendered due to some genetic abnormalities resulting in a hump in her spine. She likely was born with this, but it could have also been caused by MBD or lack of vitamins to develop properly.
She’s eating well and very active, but she fell way behind in growth compared to her house mates. She’s now living with us solo until she can find a home. We’re monitoring her for any other signs of illness but for now, enjoy some cute photos of her! 🩷

Our yellow anaconda is settling in well and you have a chance to pick their name! 🐍💚
We have yet to confirm gender in an effort to reduce the stress of moving, but we hope to do that soon.
They came to us with no name and we definitely need a name to call this beauty.
Here’s where we want your help! Please leave your gender neutral name suggestions in the comments!
We will pick a name from your suggestions tomorrow (8/26/26) at 7 pm. Multiple suggestions are allowed! ☺️

Today, we received a call about many snakes needing help because they were abandoned by their caretaker. We were told that some had passed away but others were still living. Upon arrival to the address, we were let into an occupied house with a boarded up room infested with flies and a smell that would knock you over.
I will spare you the details but ultimately, we opened each container in the room to find that every single snake there had passed away weeks if not months prior. We left heartbroken with no chance at saving any of them.
We are working with authorities to hopefully give these lives the justice they deserve, but many times, reptile animal abuse is not seen in the same light as mammal animal abuse.
Let me scream it from the rooftops:
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ IF YOU CANNOT CARE FOR YOUR REPTILE(S) ANY LONGER THERE ARE RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO HELP. Don’t let them suffer in silence!!
