This is Rooster, the female whites tree frog! 🐸
She was surrendered due to some genetic abnormalities resulting in a hump in her spine. She likely was born with this, but it could have also been caused by MBD or lack of vitamins to develop properly.
She’s eating well and very active, but she fell way behind in growth compared to her house mates. She’s now living with us solo until she can find a home. We’re monitoring her for any other signs of illness but for now, enjoy some cute photos of her! 🩷

Our yellow anaconda is settling in well and you have a chance to pick their name! 🐍💚
We have yet to confirm gender in an effort to reduce the stress of moving, but we hope to do that soon.
They came to us with no name and we definitely need a name to call this beauty.
Here’s where we want your help! Please leave your gender neutral name suggestions in the comments!

Today, we received a call about many snakes needing help because they were abandoned by their caretaker. We were told that some had passed away but others were still living. Upon arrival to the address, we were let into an occupied house with a boarded up room infested with flies and a smell that would knock you over.
I will spare you the details but ultimately, we opened each container in the room to find that every single snake there had passed away weeks if not months prior. We left heartbroken with no chance at saving any of them.
We are working with authorities to hopefully give these lives the justice they deserve, but many times, reptile animal abuse is not seen in the same light as mammal animal abuse.
Let me scream it from the rooftops:
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ IF YOU CANNOT CARE FOR YOUR REPTILE(S) ANY LONGER THERE ARE RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO HELP. Don’t let them suffer in silence!!

Meet BJ, the Northern Blue tongue skink! 🩷
She was surrendered due to some upper respiratory symptoms that we are working to get under control.
She’s a large adult female, with a bit of a ‘tude!
She will be recovering with us for the next month and then she will be looking for a home! 🌿

New arrivals! 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐍🐍
We have welcomed four new tortoises and two snakes to the rescue! All healthy and just needed a new place to stay for one reason or another.
1. Quinn is a young male red foot tortoise. He’s super curious and outgoing and loves to be hand fed. We also learned that he likes to nibble toes!
2. Fig is a young male boa constrictor that arrived a few months ago on a judicial hold after being confiscated by animal control. He is now cleared for adoption! He’s friendly with handling and a great eater.
3. Selma is a young female Sulcata tortoise. She has some pyramiding from lack of UVB, but she’s young enough to grow healthy with proper care moving forward.
4. Turbo is a young female leopard tortoise. She has some previous scarring on her shell from a dog bite, but has recovered well. She’s social and outgoing with people.
5. Nugget is a young female Sulcata tortoise also in need of a new place to stay. She’s a little shy but she’s eating well and settling into her new surroundings.
6. Nagini is a 12 year old female ball python. We’re going to try to switch her from live food to frozen thawed but other than that, she’s very sweet and handleable.

New arrivals! 🐍🐢

1️⃣ Rocky is an adult male Hermanns tortoise that needed a new home. He’s super sweet and social!

2️⃣ Herbert is a one year old male milk snake that was a bit backed up and impacted. After some warm soaks and TLC, he’s doing much better.

3️⃣ Snickers is a adult male corn snake that needed a new place to stay. He’s HUGE and a bit overweight but no other concerns for him.

All of these friends will be looking for homes after we reach some milestones with their care. 💚
