This is the second day that I have picked a huge harvest of collard greens from my garden. My plants are showin’ out this season.

Did you know that the 54 mile Selma to Montgomery march in 1965 may not have been as successful if it were not for Black farmers? Black people were not able to eat at many restaurants and stay at hotels along the route due to segregation. Fortunately, Black farmers allowed marchers to sleep on their land and eat from their farms.
I am grateful to be able to feed myself and gift my elders, family, friends, and community members fresh produce in order to pay homage to my ancestors. I created a BIG A$$ garden space so that I could give food away.
I pray that the universe has blessed all growers with a beautiful growing season.
