Rusty- mini doodle. 10 years old.
He is good around our 2 Bunnies that we have indoors in a corral. When we let them loose he doesn’t care about them. Follows them around.
He gets along well with my sisters puppy and other dogs. Just have to make sure when he meets a dog that things are calm until they figure each other out.
Fine with kids and adults. Barks at anyone at the door/when knock/when door bell rings. Wants to be pet and show you his toy then he relaxes. Will run after walkers or bikers. I don’t trust him off leash because He would run away. Doesn’t always listen to ‘Come!” Command.
He self feeds. we keep his bowl full and watered.
Sometimes likes to p*e on the carpet when left alone for long periods. We have started using a diaper band on him anytime we leave now. That seems to be helping. We tried crating but he chewed the metal cage and ruined his teeth. And he would hyper-salivate making a mess. Very anxious animal when alone. I have him on a daily anxiety pill but he still has anxiety when alone.
He rings a bell to go outside to potty when we are home. Either onto a lead in the yard or the fenced in backyard.
