GOLDEN RETRIEVER OFFERS A TOY TO THE MAN BREAKING INTO THE HOUSE

Earlier this month in San Diego’s Sherman Heights neighborhood, a man came through a home while the owners watched on a security app. Nash, the golden retriever, did not bark him back out the door. He brought toys. The intruder ate, then napped. The owner later said Nash is not the greatest guard dog.

Police arrested a suspect after the footage. The clip is circulating because it is almost gentle until you remember someone was inside a house that was not theirs, eating food that was not theirs, while a family watched from a phone. Goldens are built to like people. That is the joke and the problem. The camera did the job the dog would not.

The person arrested in connection with the break-in has been charged or detained according to the local reporting around the video. A conviction is a separate thing.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wait, what's wrong with this picture? Note the head of the bed is next to the wall. 😂
