Halloween Safety Tip #2: Trick-or-Treater Doorbell Solution (Hang a Sign):

🛎️ Ding-dong! Does the doorbell drive your dog crazy? 🐶💥

Continuous doorbells and knocking can bring huge amounts of stress to your pet on Halloween night. Here’s an easy hack to keep things quiet:

🚪 Put a sign on your door asking trick-or-treaters not to knock or ring the bell.
🍬 Leave a bowl of candy outside with a friendly note saying, "Please Take One or Two!"

This simple trick keeps your dog calm while still spreading Halloween cheer to the neighborhood!

A Pawsitive Review:

If you’ve ever tried to reason with a giant dog who thinks obedience class is his personal comedy club, you know my pain.
I was so discouraged with Vader’s class clown antics that I tried to quit. But Gabby at Angels in the Making wouldn’t let us give up! She reached out, worked with us, and gave me the tools and confidence to keep going.

🎃 Halloween Tip #1: Safety First

Halloween is one of the biggest escape nights of the year for dogs! Strange costumes, loud fireworks, and doors opening repeatedly can cause even the calmest pup to bolt.

Here is your Halloween pre-check:
✅ Make sure microchip details are up to date.
✅ Double-check that ID tags are securely attached to their collar.
✅ Keep dogs on a leash in unsecured areas.
✅ Check that all back gates, fence panels, and doors are securely locked.

A quick check today keeps your furry friend safe tonight! 🐶❤️

Animal ER has moved!

YOU GUESSED IT... AND IT'S HAPPENING. 🎉

Three years ago, five veterinary professionals cut a ribbon on a small building with big dreams. On Tuesday, October 6th, we open the doors to our new home at 2558 Patterson Rd. Grand Junction, CO. — and it is everything we've been quietly building toward.

Bigger space. Same team. Same mission. And ultimately better care for the pets of the Grand Valley.

MOVE DAY LOGISTICS:
Tuesday, October 6th — we'll be closed during the day for the move and reopen at 6:00 PM sharp at our new location- 2558 Patterson Rd. If your pet needs emergency care that day, please plan accordingly and reach out to your primary vet or call us for guidance.

✈️💙 THE BLUE ANGELS ARE IN TOWN! 💙✈️

While this is a fun & exciting time for us, all that loud noise can be stressful and scary for our furry family members. 🐶🐱

Here are a few tips to help keep them calm, comfortable & secure:

🎶 Turn on calming music or the TV to help muffle the sounds.
🪟 Keep curtains closed to block out the sights and reduce stimulation.
🦴 Stuff their Kongs or offer a favorite long-lasting treat to keep them occupied.
🚪 Double-check all gates & doors and make sure everything is securely closed. A frightened pet may try to escape!

Most importantly, give them a little extra love and reassurance. ❤️
