We are excited to announce we have been designated funds to contract for a Kennel Attendant to support our ever-growing dog walking program at 'A Place Called Home'. 🐾💕

These funds allow for us to have 1-2 individuals support the building for up to 4 shifts per week at a rate of $15 an hour. This Kennel Attendant position will help support the program while also working alongside volunteers at times and ensuring the well-being of the animals during crucial shift times. Mochi is basically a soft, fluffy dough ball made for couch cuddles. 🤍🐾

This gentle husky mix is learning what it means to feel safe and loved in a home, and she’s already showing how sweet and thoughtful she truly is. She’s calm, polite, and does great with other dogs—and even respectfully coexists with the household “spicy” cat.

Mochi is kind and patient with kids, quietly sleeps through the night, and is steadily gaining confidence every day. She’s looking for a calm, loving home where she can continue to blossom—and in return, she’ll be a loyal, cuddly companion.

Boozhoo (Bo-zhoo) aka Boo has really started to shine! 💛🐾

In just a couple weeks, this sweet boy has come out of his shell and is discovering all the good things in life—like walks, playtime, and learning his manners.

But his newest favorite thing? Belly rubs and cuddles. Once he figured them out, he was all in—and he’s absolutely a fan. Boo is full of energy, but at his core he’s a gentle, affectionate pup who’s happiest when he’s close to his people.

This goofy guy lives for toys—squeaky, fluffy, rubbery—if it exists, he’s playing with it. He’s always ready for fun, whether that’s wrestling with his dog best friend, zooming around the house, or proudly showing off his latest toy treasure.

We are excited to announce that we are ready to take on an intern for the summer for our social media and event team. Hours are flexible but up to 10 hours a week of work on Facebook, Instagram, Canva and more! Help be directly responsible for showing off adoptable animals to get them their forever home an expand our rescue reach in the area via some of our largest marketing platforms.

Some experience preferred either personally or professional with social media or marketing. Training available, paid handsomely with puppy kisses and as much experience as is helpful for your major.

Jetta is a soft, gentle soul who’s still learning that the world is a safe place. 💕🐾

She can be shy at first, but with patience and a calm approach, her sweet personality starts to peek through—complete with tiny tail wags and the softest happy expressions when she feels safe.

She really blossoms around other dogs and gains confidence from having a canine buddy nearby. Jetta is looking for a patient, loving home that will let her grow at her own pace and cheer her on every step of the way.

Ivy is a playful, high-energy girl who’s always ready for fun! 🐾✨

Whether she’s chasing around the yard or enjoying a good game of tug, she brings lots of joy and enthusiasm to her day. She’s also sweet and gentle, especially when it comes to treats and leash time.

House and kennel trained, Ivy is already a well-mannered girl who’s ready for her next adventure. She’d love a home with a playful dog buddy (and some kids to adore her) so she can keep her tail wagging all day long.
