🐾❤️ LOOKING FOR A ONE-AND-ONLY? ❤️🐾

Not every dog wants a four-legged roommate, and that’s okay! 🐶 We have some wonderful pups at Journey Home Animal Rescue who are ready to find their forever families and would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

From adventure buddies to professional snugglers, these dogs have plenty of love to give. They just want a family they can call their own! 🏡💕

❤️ River Update! We are happy to share that River was discharged from the emergency veterinary clinic this past weekend and is doing well, all things considered!

After a very scary medical emergency of bloat (GVD), River is now resting and recovering. He will have a couple of weeks of strict activity restrictions and plenty of rest to give his body the time it needs to heal. We are still $1000 short of paying his bill but are happy he has made it through so far.

We are also continuing to communicate with our veterinary team and specialists to explore additional preventative care options to help reduce the risk of this happening again. We are incredibly grateful for the quick action of our veterinary team and everyone who has donated, shared, and kept River in their thoughts. Your support helps us provide the care animals like River need when unexpected emergencies arise.

River still has some recovering to do, but we are so thankful he is doing well and can continue healing! ❤️🐾Thank you for all the positive thoughts his way, and thank you to those who have already helped pay for some of his hospital stay and recovery.

🐾 Meet Cardamom! ❤️

Cardamom came to Journey Home when her owners could no longer provide the care she needed. She was pregnant when she arrived, and it was clear she had already been through a lot.

Cardamom has a significant scar across her forehead from being cut with a knife by someone in her past. We can't imagine what she's experienced, but we're grateful she's now somewhere safe.

Her journey into motherhood wasn't exactly easy, either. While trying to deliver her first puppy, Cardamom became extremely tired and needed some extra medical supervision at an emergency veterinary clinic in Fargo to help her through the delivery.

Thankfully, Cardamom and her four beautiful puppies are doing well! ❤️ Her little ones are now one month old, growing, and keeping their momma busy!

Cardamom has been through more than any dog should have to experience, but we're so happy that she and her puppies are safe, cared for, and getting the chance at a better future.

For now, we're enjoying watching this little family grow and giving Cardamom the love and care she deserves. 🐾💕

🦘 Hi, I’m Rue! Your next adventure buddy is here! 🐾

I’m a stubby-legged, toasted-golden little kangaroo with a BIG personality and an even bigger capacity for joy. 💛

I may not know much about my past, but I do know what I like about the present:
🌿 Going for walks and bouncing along beside you
🦗 Chasing grasshoppers like it’s my full-time job
🛋️ Belly rubs on the couch
💕 Being part of whatever you’re doing
✨ Finding new adventures — preferably with my favorite people

I’m a 2-year-old, 39-pound cattle dog mix, and I’m dog-friendly! I’m looking for someone who is ready to give me the safe, happy forever home I’ve been hoping for. BTWoof: I'm apartment-friendly too!

Hi! I'm Easton! I've got my eye on a forever home. ❤️

And I have some OPINIONS about what that forever home should look like. I’m not trying to be demanding… I just know what I want. 😉

🍌 BANANAS. This is important. I believe bananas should be part of every good relationship.

🐶 I’d like to be your one and only dog. I’m not looking to share my humans. I’m perfectly happy being the star of the show, thank you very much.

👧 Older kids? Yes, please! I’d love some bigger kids who understand that dogs have opinions, too.

🥎 FETCH. Throw the ball. I’ll get the ball. You throw it again. This arrangement seems to work beautifully.

🤗 CUDDLE TIME. After all that fetching, obviously I need some serious snuggle time. Preferably with a human who understands that “personal space” is highly overrated.

🏡 A fenced yard. Because a guy needs somewhere to stretch his legs, chase a ball and supervise important backyard activities.

🧠 A human who appreciates a smart guy. I know “place,” “sit,” “stay” and “shake,” and I’m eager to keep learning. Especially if snacks are involved.

❤️ A forever human who will love me for exactly who I am. Having one eye doesn’t stop me from being a happy, playful, affectionate guy. In fact, I think it just makes me extra cute.

So there you have it...
I’m Easton.
I have opinions.
I have lots of personality.
I love bananas. 🍌

And somewhere out there is the human (or family) who is going to say, “Yep. That’s my dog.” ❤️ Could that be you?
