Bárbara trained as a veterinarian in Brazil with a deep specialization in exotic animal care. While she is not licensed as a U.S. veterinarian, she brings her vast knowledge to our clinic as a highly skilled Veterinary Assistant. She works under our direct supervision, allowing our team to collaborate and provide the absolute best care for your unique companions.

Have an exotic pet? You will want to meet the newest member of the Grand Valley Animal Hospital family! 🐍🦜

Bárbara Reis earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Brazil, and holds a postgraduate specialization in the Medical and Surgical Care of Wildlife and Exotic Animals. She brings years of hands-on experience treating birds, reptiles, rabbits, and small mammals.

While Bárbara is not licensed to practice as a veterinarian in the U.S. at this time, she has joined our clinic as a highly skilled Veterinary Assistant. She works under our direct supervision, allowing our team to collaborate closely and provide exceptional care for your unique companions together.

Bárbara has tremendous knowledge about exotics and loves helping pet parents learn exactly how to care for them. We are incredibly lucky to have her specialized skills in our clinic.

At Grand Valley Animal Hospital, your pet’s health is our top priority! 🐾 To ensure we provide the best care possible, our team is committed to ongoing education. On December 4th, our doctors and staff will be attending Rescue CPR Training in Fargo and will be unavailable for appointments. 🐶🐱

However, a few team members will be at the clinic to assist with medication pick-ups and scheduling. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to grow and learn for the well-being of your furry family members!
